Moving from Santa Fe New Mexico to Albuquerque seemed like I would never find a place to live. After any searches I ran across ABQUPTOWNVILLAGE and finally found my home. Just signed my fourth year lease and I am just so pleased and happy and secured knowing that I call this place home. So come on over and join us you will not be disappointed and say Joe Sent you!

First of all, I can’t believe there is only one previous review of this place and that being from 2012! I recently moved here in June 2015 and so far it has been a pretty good experience. Moving in was a little rough, but that’s a given. Felt like the guy at the front was lazy. I moved in on a Sunday and he didn’t give me a tour, show me where anything was(pool, fitness center etc), tell me how the mail or my keys worked – nothing! I also wish the office was open a little later or earlier because I generally leave for work and get back from work before and after the office is open and I have to wait to get my packages =(but not a huge deal. Also, wish they had valet trash service! You have to take your own trash out to the dumpster, again – not a huge deal! But these are all things you can ask prior to moving! So, I didn’t feel like I was blind-sighted. I felt it was very clean – haven seen a single roach like the first guy mentioned. But I will say maintenance is great here. I put an online order in and by the evening it is done! I do agree – not super safe. The gate is just a façade, anyone can tailgate you in. But hey, it’s better than no gate. Location obviously gives this place 5 stars. It’s been one month since I moved in and I am happy with my choice. Would rent here again.

A rather okay place to live in if you are in a rush to find a place to live. I’ve only seen roaches on the third floor a few times, however they really like to come out at night. Personally I don’t think 1500 $ per month is worth a roach infested 2 bedroom. But the bugs were the least of our worries, for a gated community its really not secure. During our stay at uptown village the tires on several cars were slashed leaving us with an additional 1000 $ repair bill. The gates are practically worthless because any one can just drive in behind someone. Another complaint about the gates is they lock from the inside, so if someone is leaving from your apartment you must walk them down to open the gate if they are parked outside. Parking outside leads me to additional issues. During the day parking is okay. you can pay 40 $ for an extra reserved parking in a car port. If you have a second driver though its a free for all in a over crowded parking lot. Over flow is in the Trader Joes store across the street. So to sum things up for everyone the rent is to high for what your really getting, roaches, security issues, and parking. While we were moving out they also charged us a ridiculous amount for repairs when there really wasn’t much damage. We really felt ripped off, but there was nothing we could really do besides reluctantly pay them. Moving in and out was a real hassle but let’s just call that a given. The beneficial side of living at ABQ Uptown Village is more the location than anything. It’s close to a school, its across the street from the uptown mall, and grocery shopping at Trader Joes is really convenient. The gym and the pool are nice if you are really into fitness or just relaxing at the pool. In my own opinion I would not rent from them again.
