A1 Star Casting

Apparently company owner, Joe Guinan, is trying to present himself as someone who can obtain roles for upcoming talent. This is SO sad, on so many levels. As an entertainment industry veteran, let me just tell you New Mexico hopefuls this… you can, in most instances, get local roles yourself and in Los Angeles, this guy is NOT going to get you work.
Mr. Guinan has made himself quite the little reputation as a joke in Los Angeles. He repeatedly sends «spam» emails to anyone in the entertainment industry that he can find an email address or cell number for: prop people, scenic artists, stunt performers, and even teamsters. NONE, I repeat NONE, of these people have ANYTHING to do with the casting process; which apparently alludes Mr. Guinan, but emphasizes the fact that he knows nothing-​at-​all about the entertainment industry.
Contact with Mr. Guinan, regarding this erroneous inquiries, has been met with such an odd number of unstable responses, ranging from sarcasm to anger.
Again, it is a sad situation for those of you who may well be talented and are searching for assistance and options. Don’t this skirt around this place — RUN FROM IT; association with a company like this is not going to help you in your efforts.
