I’m starting to think that everyone is Albemarle is just super nice. We were in town for a wedding and if you can image a bunch of guests in different rooms checking in and out at different times. They were so accommodating in terms of letting us get late check out and upgrading my room because nothing else was available. The hot breakfast in the morning was set up a little early and they didn’t remove it until well after the posted time. The juice machine had at least two options and the coffee bar was full all day. If you need to stay in the area this is the place.

I’ve stayed here multiple times, but at the time of this review(Nov 2013) they have recently renovated the hotel. The rooms are clean and since the renovation everything is wonderful. I don’t think anyone expects a Holiday Inn Express to be the Ritz, you get what you pay for. Holiday Inn Express quality has been consistent across the board in my experience. This is the same. Great rooms, free wifi, free breakfast, King suites have a refrigerator and microwave, and it’s located very close to: * Walmart * Zaxby’s * Applebee’s * Sweet Frog * Cook Out * Little Tokyo(Japanese & Sushi) * McDonald’s * Taco Bell It’s convenient and when coming to Albemarle or just stopping through it’s the BEST place to stay. Ahem. Hear that Sleep Inn?

It is always great visiting your hometown. Hotel is so so and honestly if you are looking for the Ritz this is not it. The breakfast is great and so is the hotel room. I did my check for bed bugs and such and it came up good to go(a positive in my book). The hotel is located close to wal-mart, some food places, and close to the main road that leads out of town. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. I previously had a situation where my dad would be at the hotel before I would be and I had asked if the staff could give him a room key. Good old southern hospitality led to the person working the front desk letting him in(ahead of me arriving three hours later) and not causing any issues about it. Overall, a great friendly place that I would frequent because of the caring attitude and great customer service. Again, a word to the wise that this is not a five star hotel so please do not expect perfection.

The beds are so comfy. And the best part they’re almost don’t remodeling it. It isn’t the best but better than other hotels I’ve seen in towns like this

I spend my time sleeping at Holiday Inn when visiting the area for work. Upon check-in, always ask for an upgrade to a suite and you can normally achieve this for no extra charge. This isn’t the best Holiday Inn Express that I have spent time at but it does the job. The breakfast is the normal mold, but is often missing items or the damn juice machine doesn’t work. Don’t book a room here if you are price-sensitive as it normally leaks just over 100 a night. Can’t say the area justifies the price, but be sure to check the Sleep Inn just next door. ps — free access to Gold’s Gym in town with stay.
