Wanted this to be a better review but I can’t go any higher. Im a Wyndham rewards member and am very loyal to that brand. The days inn in town had 2 stars and this had some positive reviews so we went this the super 8 To start with they have a horrible entrance to get into the property. Probably spent 5 minute waiting to get in the parking lot. I was annoyed at this but still confident the property would be a solid 3 stars. Walked into lobby and it was okay from what you would expect of a budget hotel. No problems checking and the front desk gentleman was friendly. Our key card had stickers with our room numbers rather then the normal sleeve for the cards with the room numbers. This did concern me as if we lost one someone would have our room number and the key card. We had a room on the second floor, the ground flor is actually below ground level which looked depressing. Our room was very small and painted a dark dingy shade of mushy pea green. I will add it was clean. Had a king bed which I would rate a 5 out of 10. Nice flat screen tv and fridge and microwave as promised. The décor was very dated. The ceiling had wet spots, the chair was disgusting. The border in the rooms was bad and peeling off in places(see pics), the power outlets had a six splitter and seemed over used, potentially dangerous. The vending machine was very old and didn’t accept bills. Had to ask for a dollar In quarters and was given a dollar in nickels. No diet soda at all so ended up going to a grocery store. The rug had stains. The hangar bar also was right over the left side of the bed and I banged my head on it actually getting up it was so close. All this is in the pics. I included pics of décor, the claustrophobic room, vending machine and the room. Pros: — clean — affordable — good Tvs and a/c was on Cons: — not well maintained — area doesn’t seem safe — room isn’t we’ll take care of — vending is poor — chair had nasty looking stains — poor property entrance

My crew and I stayed at the Super 8 in Albany in March 2015. It’s not a Hilton by any means but it was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and it was located close to Other businesses. I would stay there again for the price.

This place doesn’t even deserve the star I gave it. But, you have to rate it. Don’t be fooled by the pictures of the outside of the building. There’s a reason for that. The rooms are extremely dirty and funky. It’s so unsanitary, I was afraid to even lay down on the bed(even after taking the sheets off). I asked for a nonsmoking room and was given one. It smelled like smoke anyway, heavily of smoke. Plus the scent was all throughout the hallways and lingers outside. Also, the smoke was severely burning my eyes making them turn red and water. So, I’m assuming that the junkies live there and not only smoke cigarettes but also weed and crack. As soon as you pull up, you see all the junkies socializing. They stare at you as if they are planning to kick down your door and rape you later on in the night(or strap you to the bed and auction you off). I got the hell out of there. It wasn’t worth my safety to remain. If you are a decent person that is not into illicit activity, then avoid this place by all means. I’m sure it’s nothing more than a dump for prostitution and drug trafficking. Unfortunately I found this out by just booking a room. I’m not familiar with the area and booked this by accident but once I discovered how seedy it was, I just left. I demanded a refund and it was granted to me without an issue. I am not the type of clientele they normally service and they knew that.
