Incredibly nice service and relatively fast ordering. The food, the most important thing, is really tasty and abundant. I recommend you give it a try for sure.

I always go here when I’m going to lunch by myself or sometimes with a friend. I always get same few things on the menu: the eggrolls, somtom salad, beef noodle soup, pad kra pao combo, and yum woon sen salad. I love the food however, the food tends to be on the sweeter side –not as in its not spicy, but as in sweet like sugar. The food isn’t always consistent in flavor and that’s why I gave it three instead of four stars. Sometimes it’s great and other times it’s just good. I was told the one on lark is more consistent tho, but I’ve only eaten there once so I can’t really say. However I’ll still continue to eat here and I would recommend this place!

I’m Thai. I grew up on Thai food and lived in Thailand. This is the best authentic Thai food I’ve had since I’ve been in Thailand(besides my mom’s haha). The staff is friendly and the delivery is fast. Portion size is definitely Americanized, so you wont be disappointed.

My girlfriend and I had a dinner here after a friend highly recommended it. The waitress was quite nice. We had Tom Yum soup with shrimp that was more than what i expected. The soup was creamy and fresh. Also, I got a pad thai with shrimp which was just barely ok. The pad thai was too spicy and not texture. My girlfriend had a curry chicken, she liked it very much. But she had serious diarrhea next couple days. We probably wont go back again. It could be much better experience if she did not have such situation.

Fantastic! Portions are huge, fast delivery, good prices! The Pad Woon Sen was delicious and chock full of vegetables and the Pad Thai was authentic and delicious.

Delivery was pretty good. They gave a lot of the entrees in relation to the rice given, but it was good for leftovers. In terms of spiciness, it was a nice, comfortable spice if you specify that you want it spicy. Their delivery is pretty quick, and they’re quite responsive to phone calls if you need to know when they will arrive.

Have been here 3 times in the past few months and always get the Kao Moo Yang for $ 10.95. I always forget, but I don’t like cilantro so that’s the only think u would ask to be removed because they garnish it with a lot right on top. But if you like it, go for it! Yummy! Thai style BBQ pork with spicy sauce and cilantro. Served with steamed white rice, vegetables and miso soup or seaweed salad.

This is the best Thai I’ve had in the capital region. The prices are super reasonable compared to other Thai restaurants in the area, and the food is super tasty. I have a friend who moved to Thailand to teach English for a year. He told me he came here to talk to the owners about Thailand, and they were extremely pleasant and helpful. Favorite Thai to date here.

The location on lark street has always been great. Today however when we ordered take out from the central ave location we got cabbage salad which has always been made vegetarian for us at the lark st location since we specify that we’re vegan when we order. Today after we ordered they even called back to double check that soy sauce was vegan but then they sent a cabbage salad with shrimp paste in it. When we called to ask if our other items had been made vegan and to inform them of their mistake they did nothing to fix it and said next time we should order the house salad.

Last I knew, they have two restaurants, one on Lark and one on Central. For connivence of finding parking, I always go to the one on Central Ave. They seem to have the best Thai in the Capital District. Have tried several others and this Thai restaurant’s dishes seem to have the best flavor around.

Great place for thai food. The spicy green bean with chicken is really good. I’ve tried other thai places in the area and they just don’t compare.

Gone to two/three thai places in Albany thus far. This is not *the best* thai that I’ve had, but it’s definitely the best in Albany. I went back the next day I ordered: fried thai egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, thai tea, tom yum, and pad thai thus far. Egg rolls — surprisingly very tasty to the extent that I’ll walk there to buy only egg rolls to snack on. They even take care to cut a corner of the styrofoam of your to-go container to make sure that the rolls remain crispy Thai tea — ordered with bubble(tapioca balls), great flavor Shrimp tom yum — delicious, flavors were layered chicken fried rice — nice fluffy & sticky rice, once — again great flavor

Amazing prices for the quality of food and service you receive. Came here not knowing anything about it. The waiter helped me make my decision. The spicy eggplant with chicken is delicious. It comes with a side of white rice. Plenty of food for $ 7 plus tax.

Lets cut to the chase… The moo yang appetizer is AWESOME! The hot basil chicken(gra prow sans the fried egg) is delicious and flavorful. I cant wait to try more things! Staff is super friendly. The atmosphere gives you the feeling that youre in the family kitchen. Highly recommended. It was dead on a Friday night… but isn’t all of Albany?

«Koh Samui Dreaming» by Josh K. In 2005, I was on a beach in Koh Samui, Thailand. Every night, my companions and I chose to eat dinner at the same beachside restaurant. Here, we would be served fresh, steaming, and spicy seafood curries, chasing it down with Beer Chang, while sitting on tables in the sand, under the moonlight with the sounds of the waves crashing not 10 feet away. I ate curry crabs, red shrimp curry, sipped spicy, sweet and sour Tom Yum and overindulged on red snapped caught by the local fisherman earlier in the day then steamed in a banana leaf and stewed in coconut milk. Each night our tab including the copious amounts of beer came to about 5 dollars a person. Six years have expired since that time and not a day goes by that I wish I could relive that moment again with the same hedonistic seeking and wide-eyed naiveté I had when I first travelled to Southeast Asia. Sukhothai is what it is, a Thai owned and operated restaurant in Albany. It doesn’t claim to be anything more. They serve savory Thai favorites of curries, soups and noodles with your choice of beef, chicken, shrimp or tofu. The soups are hot, the curries are creamy and fragrant, and the seafood is as fresh as it can be given the distance from the nearest body of salt water. Since travelling to Thailand, I had been to the Lark Street location of Sukhothai a few times. Each subsequent visit I find more enjoyable than the last. This may be attributed to the fact that the authentic taste of Thailand has been further away each time. On my first trip, I ordered the signature Thai street food-Pad Thai. It was tasty but ultimately, a letdown compared to the incredibly spicy, fresh, and steaming noodles I got from a nondescript stall in Bangkok. Although less authentic, I found the Pad Thai at SushiThai in Saratoga Springs to be more flavorful. The next venture to Sukhothai, I got a refreshing Green Curry, soaked up with a generous helping of Jasmine white rice, which I washed down with a Thai Iced Tea(condensed milk added to the regular variety). Although it didn’t compare either, it was a pleasant meal. The last time I went to the Lark location(last month), I ordered the Tom Kah Soup(with chicken) and Pineapple– Fried Rice with shrimp. The soup had just the right amount of coconut sweetness and sour tamarind spice to give me just the slightest flashback to the days long gone, but the puny-sized chewy shrimp and canned pineapple put me back to reality fast-I am still in Northeast USA. On a cold, post snow blizzard night, I decided to write this review as this was my first visit to their Central Avenue location. With a larger seating area, efficient service, the company of good friends, and solid recreations of my beloved Thai cuisine that won’t empty the wallet, it surely won’t be my last. On this particular trip, I ordered the Hor Mok Salmon. I never saw this offered on the Lark Street location and its description: «Spicy Salmon and curry baked with banana leaf top with coconut cream» jumped out immediately. I added a generous spoonful of chili sauce to my rice and mixed in the fish curry. Creamy, spicy, and aromatic, nostalgia was served. Of course there is no Salmon in the warm waters of Thailand, and there was no white sand to be found on Central Avenue, but never mind that. I was content to be eating Thai food in a cozy setting amid the frigid Upstate New York weather.

We used to be regulars at the Lark Street location, but when this second spot opened up, we immediately started coming here instead. Generous portions of good Thai food at very reasonable prices. It’s far less cramped and has a much a nicer ambiance, and it’s only a few blocks away. Tastefully decorated, newly remodeled, nice wood floors and a bar. Service is better here, also, since they don’t seem to have the same volume of business yet. They recently added sushi to the menu, but I haven’t tried it, and they finally got their liquor license. I recommend trying the chicken satae appetizer(peanut sauce, yum) or the Thai egg rolls. As for entrees, all the rice plates are good and the pad thai is great. The only real complaint I have is that the dishes aren’t always consistent — both in the level of spice and sometimes even in the ingredients. However, the staff is very friendly and if you make any specific requests, they aim to please. Just make sure you bring a few quarters to feed the parking meters.
