Great little local diner. Old school. The menu has a mix of classic diner fare and greek dishes. I stopped in for lunch on a cold Albany winter day and found it to be warm and inviting. The staff is super friendly and service was fast. I had a basic Patty Melt and it was perfectly cooked, with standard shoestring fries and a pickle on the side. From the interactions between the waitresses and customers, I got the sense that they have a stable of daily regulars, although my waitress treated me with the casual friendliness I would expect once achieving«regular» status in most places.

Great food, even better prices, and a friendly staff. The eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly, and while the strip steak was pretty fatty it was seasoned very well.

We stop here for breakfast every year during the Albany Ski & Snowboard Expo and we’re never disappointed. There really isn’t a lot of breakfast options in the downtown Albany area and this appears to be the only diner. The place is clean and staff is very friendly. Casey(the waitress) is fast and efficient. The food is consistently good and is what you would expect it to be. Stick with the usual eggs or pancakes and you’re good to go. TV is on so you can watch the news. What more could you need?

Don’t order a la carte here or they’ll rob you. $ 18 for French toast, soggy bacon and eggs. Rude manager. Go elsewhere for good Food and service.

It’s a good no frills diner. I stopped in on a Wednesday morning around 9 am. The ordering process was quick and friendly. My order of two eggs over easy with bacon, toast and homefries was ready in about 5 minutes. My eggs were cooked well, which can often be hit or miss at a diner. Breakfast and a large cup of orange juice was $ 8 and change, which was inexpensive. If you’re in hurry, takeout is available and it seems to be the popular choice. Suggestions: Skip the coffee here and go to Dunkin, Stagecoach or Starbucks. All three are less than a block away. Grab a look at specials board outside the entrance for the daily breakfast option or the soup of the day.

They have a buffet for us for a conference and the chicken is under cooked. I told the waitress and she had zero interest in what I said. They better hope no one gets sick from this.

Went there 7÷8÷15 with my girlfriend since we were in the area. At first sight we enjoyed the décor it was simple, black and white with black and white pictures of albany. My girlfriend ordered a breakfast wrap and corned beef hash and I ordered pancakes with sausage on the side. The pancakes and sausage were good and the breakfast wrap and hash were good as well. I enjoyed it and the price wasn’t bad at all, just the only thing is me and my girlfriend seemed rushed to order and waitresses seemed a little uninterested in general. Greet meal great price but could be greeted a little nicer, all and all I would eat there again.

The worst Ruben I have ever eaten, soggy with tough corned beef, unbelievable sauerkraut cold ish, service was good french fries horrible, it just seems like no one in this restaurant cares about their food. then I had to listen some old women, sing some annoying songs from the 1940s really annoying. total experience there is less then the two stars I gave it go anywhere else and eat. Find Denny’s, or a McDonalds they even with their crap are better than this place.

Solid diner. We both had two eggs any style with toast and homefries. I ordered bacon and my boyfriend had the hash. The homefries and hash were a little plain, but everything else was good. The service was exceptional. Our coffee cups were never empty. We’ll be back.

If you’ve been to a diner before you know what you’re getting(2 eggs any style, bacon or sausage or ham, home fries, toast, and coffee). This diner is homey. Staff are friendly. Good view of the street and city life. I’ve been able to get breakfast a few minutes late just as long as I order quickly.

Stopped in today for lunch and the joint was jumpin. Sat at the counter and ordered the fried clam roll(I know but I had a craving) with a side of Mac and cheese. The waitress could not have been nicer. The clam roll was as expected. The Mac and cheese was fine. With a glass of Pepsi I escaped for less than $ 10 bucks. I would return if in the area again.

I’m a commercial pilot so I eat a lot of places just once and usually by myself. I give this place 3 stars because of the staff. I sat at the breakfast bar and had blueberry pancakes. I could get the same meal(or better) at Denny’s. The bacon was crispy but old and dry, the blueberries came from a can. Which baffles me when your in the middle of the season with fruit stands on each corner. But the staff was attentive, funny, and considerate. One chef even came from behind the counter to ask how it was. With coffee the whole thing was $ 10, so no great loss. I wouldn’t go back for the food but I would for the peeps.

Food is alright. I had the Cheeseburger Deluxe. The burger tasted bland but the fries are good. The price is reasonable for the amount of beef inside the burger.($ 6.75) The burger comes with a long slice of pickle and a(very) small serving of mac salad. There are not many decent places within a short walking distance in the area so if you really want to eat diner food, this place is okay. If you want a good burger, I suggest going to The Hollow. It’s a few dollars more but it’s so much better, especially if you get the sweet potato fries.

If you’re looking for a good breakfast spot they seem like the place to go. The Greek salad with shish kabob was delish, I would definetly come back.

A wonderful place for breakfast or lunch! Great, fresh food and really friendly service. Feels like you a part of the family once you come in. They are so welcoming, friendly and courteous at the same time. Food itself was excellent. French toast was moist and just the right sweetness. Beacon — perfection! Crispy, fresh, thick! Highly recommend this family owned and operated place!!!

All of your basic diner fare and at pretty decent prices, too. I have come here for lunch about six times now. I really enjoy the Greek salad and always add a chicken kebab on top(with grilled onions and green peppers). They also make a great sweet tea! You can get in and out fairly quickly, even in a lunch rush. I also have never had a problem with service, as the servers have always been friendly and accommodating.
