We’ve had two kids get braces with Dr Paventy and have had great experiences. The office staff are very friendly and appointments run on schedule. We’ve had good communication with the staff and are impressed with how they work with young people in providing encouragement and incentives to learn and practice good oral hygiene. And now, both kids have beautiful smiles!

Dr. Paventy and his team are professional and friendly but I have to make my review based on my personal experience.
The sure smile system did not expedite my treatment as my braces took six months longer than originally estimated. The total time if I had not moved out of state would have been 13 – 14 months. The original estimate was about 7 – 8 months. I only had my lower teeth done.
It took two flights back before the braces were ready to come off. After they came off I had a permanent retainer put in. The next day I flew back and on that same day one of the six adhesion joints broke off. I wasn’t eating when this happened and I blame it on a bad glue joint. Since I’m out of state now I’m stuck with having it done here which will be between $ 75-​$ 200.
I hope that other people have a better experience with this practice. The additional time it took my braces to come off has costed me around $ 600.

I had another orthodontist redo my permanent retainer after two joints broke off. The workmanship is night and day. I do not recommend Dr. Paventy for permanent retainers. If your glue joints feel like little mountains then they were done poorly. For this reason I’m dropping one star from my review. My wife is currently a patient and I will be having San Mateo Orthodontics t put her permanent retainer on.
