It’s tough to even know where to begin with what is wrong with ordering from this«establishment». Could it be that even though I could have walked to this place from my apartment, the food took an hour and a half to be delivered? Could it be that when the food did arrive, they hadn’t even gotten the order correct? Could it be that the nachos looked like they had been sitting for an hour and were cold? Could it be that the portions were small and tasteless? One star is really far too much for this place. I can only echo what so many others have said: save your tastebuds, save your stomach, save your money. Eat somewhere else. This place is bad, and they should feel bad.

Doesn’t even deserve a star. Waited an hour for delivery and called just to see that the place had closed 30 minutes after our order. The lady that answered seemed nice, too bad she didn’t tell us they weren’t delivering our order. She asked for address and number too! We could’ve ordered from somewhere else, but now everything is closed. Completely unreliable. Thanks Lucky Tortillas! Edit– She came about and hour and a half after the order, we called them and they weren’t answering the phone. Delivered a steak burrito that was 60% fat and 40% leftovers. Asked for no veggies meaning lettuce/tomato, still got it. Never ordering again. If you go to UAlbany and are looking for a late dinner, I suggest Changs Garden– they deliver bubble tea.

This place is discusting!!! We ordered a bunch of food. The Pico was just a red sauce of some kind, The guacamole was mostly water, and we only got half our order. When we called back to complain, we were told we are not welcome to order from them again! DONOTORDERFROMTHEM!!! This place is a joke.

The food is ok ish, couldn’t suggest it but it’s open until 3 am so that helps I guess.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I like the food here, so I’ve given them a few chances, but every single time their service was HORRENDOUS. 3 times I’ve ordered delivery and every single time it has taken OVER2.5 hours. The last time, I never even got my food. The person answering the phone speaks little to no English and is incredibly unhelpful to speak to. Over the course of my last 2.5 hour wait, we had 3 phone conversations in which she did not just yell, but shriek unintelligible phrases at me… Never. Again.

If you value your tastebuds, please do not eat here. The food was Alfred Hitchcock levels of horrifying and took an absurd amount of time to arrive.

Pretty good food for a good price. I ordered several tacos– the shrimp, chicken and steak. The shrimp was the best. The steak was a little chewy but still pretty tasty.

Quesadillas are small and bland. However the steak fajitas are good. The chili tacos are messy. Meh.

Ordered delivery for the first time. Delivery took over an hour and the food was completely cold by the time it got to us. It’s too bad, because otherwise the food seemed decent, after we heated it in the oven.

I had some tacos this time. They were better than the burrito.

Full disclosure: this is not real Mexican food. This style of Mexican food originated in nyc, which is where I first experienced it. My friends in college always referred to this style as Chino-Latino because it is Mexican food made by Chinese restaurateurs. I was thrilled when I found that this style had made it to Albany. It’s cheap and tasty. I like anything with black beans or chicken. The salsa ranchera is tasty, even if it is not authentic. It’s fantastic that you can gorge yourself for a mere ten dollars. I’m certain I wouldn’t want to eat in the restaurant, but delivery is quick and they are open very late, so it’s a major success.

After eating Lucky Tortilla’s semi-regularly for the past 8 months(I happen to live across the street from the place) I figured it was time to write a review and offer up my two cents. Overall I’d rate this small mexican place fairly highly — you can’t beat the quality of the food for the price that it’s offered at, the food is always ready super quickly, and they’re always open late. As the reviewer below me says, if you want a taco at 2am in Albany, Lucky Tortilla’s is the place to go. I’d recommend anything with their chicken — it’s well spiced, never dry and very flavorful. I think it’s quite a bit better than their steak, which can be a bit dry at times. All of their ingredients are very fresh, from the lettuce and tomato on the tacos to the peppers and onions in their fajitas. My three favorite menu items are their hard tacos, their fajitas and their chicken and cheese quesadillas. I wouldn’t go in expecting gourmet mexican food on the lines of El Loco or El Mariachi, but you need to factor in that their prices are literally comparable to Taco Bell, but muchhh higher quality than that. If you haven’t tried Lucky Tortialla’s, give them a shot, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
