Loudonville Wine & Spirits

A little gem tucked away in the shopping mall at Kimberly Square, this place has awesome customer service. Sure beats bigger warehouse type places who don’t care to get to know their customers. Very knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices. Check them out!

I discovered this place because it’s conveniently located on my route to work. I snobbily assumed I wouldn’t care for it because it’s in a suburban Albany shopping plaza.
But lo and behold, it’s become one of my favorite places to buy wine (especially now that the one near my apartment closed.)
The staff, especially the guy who I think is the owner/​manager, is extremely nice and helpful, without being in your face. On Friday afternoons/​evenings, they usually do in-​store tastings of different wines and liquors. One week it was this delicious Irish Crème liquor served in chocolate cups. Yum!
Their prices are also pretty good and they have nearly all of my favorite go-​to wines.
The California, Italy, France and Australia sections are quite good, and the Spanish and Greek sections are also decent.
The only complaint I have is that I wish they had wine from more regions. I’d like to see a few more South African and South American wines though. Oh and the singing snowman that sits outside the door right now sort of creeps me out.
