I can’t attest to any of the other trainers, but Kirk has done a great job for me. After a serious illness last year, I needed someone who had experience with rehabilitation, as well as physical training. Over the last year, Kirk has worked me harder than I wanted to, but I have improved my stability and balance by at least 90%, lost weight and got into much better shape. As a result of exercises and leg presses(with the weight gradually increased), I feel much more confident about stairs and steep pathways. When an orthopedist suggested I might need surgery for adhesive capsulitis(«frozen shoulder’»), Kirk figured out that I could achieve the same goals in attaining shoulder mobility with specific exercises, stretching and occasional, vigorous manipulation of the shoulder. The gym charges way too much for his services, but much as it galls me to admit it, he’s probably worth it. The gym, itself, seems nice enough and the people who use it appear to be happy with the services and equipment it provides.

Kirk Michals is an experienced and personable trainer, well versed in body mechanics, preventing injury, and in my case helping with an injury. While at the gym where he works, Kirk noticed my favoring an elbow and took time to ask me about the pain I was having. He provided some simple recommendations that I could do at home, as well as recommending therapeutic massage and some specific exercises. A month later I am pain free and thankful for the time out he took to help me. He knows his stuff!
