Great place for sandwiches — so many choices! Their homemade«rojos»(cross between a potato chip and a french fry) are a must have, and their outdoor seating area is nice. Service could definitely use improvement, but the staff is friendly enough.

Still one of my wife’s and I favorite places to go. Don’t think the place has been updated since my last review. We came here for lunch, my wife ordered the calzone and I ordered a moon pie. When they came out, the presentation has been improved and tasted just as good as we remember. My last review I gave this place four stars, but today gave them three. This was due to the dirty utensils I received and the dirty window sill where we sat. Not enough, how about the small bug that was also there. However, don’t let that stop you from stopping by and visiting the place, just make sure you look over your table and utensils.

One of my favorite places in Albany. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad experience at Harvest Moon. I absolutely love the atmosphere. The service is usually great, food is usually amazing. I always look forward to a visit to Harvest Moon.

Delicious! They’re homage potato chips were to die for! The only reason why I’m giving them four stars instead of five is because of the service. I felt like we were a little rushed and it wasn’t personal. Though it was lunch time, so that may of been the reason.

If you want filling food at a good price and a cool non-fancy atmosphere, this is the place. I had the meat-eater Stromboli… big enough for 2 but I couldn’t put it down until it was gone. More time to run it off… but well worth it.

Always excellent, always fun, always consistent ! We love the Calzone’s, and their simple House Salad is really great. The Bleu Cheese Dressing is the real deal.

The place seems like it is run by 5 year old children. It also seems to be more like a bad bar, than a restaurant. The atmosphere is dark and dirty feeling, so much so I didn’t bother using the restroom. The food was unremarkable seemed more like bar snacks than anything.

«the moon», as we cal it, is one of the many Bo-Henry establishments in the city. This one is different from their others because it has that sports bar feel to it. Don’t be mislead though this place has more to offer than just a large beer selection and TVs. The menu offers classic American fare but I find the Italian inspired dishes to be my favorites. The purple pie(eggplant pizza) is my go to for pizza and the create-your-own calzone is my other. I have had a few wraps and I enjoyed them as well. The portions are generous so I already know to ask for a to go container as soon as I get my food. My favorite side by far are the rojos. House cut, circular fries cooked to perfection are always on my plate no matter what I order. I’m pretty sure no matter what you order you’ll be satisfied. Lunch is very popular but late evening to early night is when obviously it feels more bar like.

This place is by far one of my favorites. I loved the food and the setvice. They also have very great mixed drinks too. The service is a bit slower than what I liked but it gives you time to enjoy the atmosphere. I love this place.

The food quality and service is so inconsistent we don’t frequent this establishment often. I went the other night and had a chicken sandwich that was full of gristle. Not good at all. It is a dive which is ok but a dive can still be clean. Doesn’t seem like there is real management

I love the food here. I’ve ordered delivery to my hotel room a couple of times when I’m in Albany and haven’t been disappointed. My waitress tonight is very sweet. As far as the atmosphere, it’s a little dark for me. I had trouble reading the menu. They could use a little updating, too.

The folks that were working on the night I came in were great. A good family atmosphere in the early night. I told the waitress to surprise me with my food order. And boy it was good. She brought me the meat Stromboli. All meat!!! On Friday and Saturday night they have live music

Love the ambiance of a dark, local pizza parlor thats trying to do more. Unfortunately, it just fell a bit short for me. Couldn’t find anything on the menu that looked good, so, went with the house special, chicken pot pie. I found it bland and almost uneatable until i killed it with hot sauce.

I come back again and again. Very good food. Top three beer selection in town. Bad servers don’t last long there. I would recommend the fried banana peppers. Be aware that the daytime crowd is business and family. The evening crowd is a loud bar with frequent live music. Plan accordingly.

The food is hit or miss for us, we go here about once a month. We live in Albany so not many choices. The reason for the two stars is the service and atmosphere. It’s dinghy and dark. Tables not wiped very well. Staff ignores you unless you’re a regular. A lot of snobbishness for no good reason. But then it is Albany.

In the area on business in early January, the food exceed the expectations based on atmosphere. Once seated we thought our table was wet from recently being turned over. Upon picking up my menu– we discovered that it was beer and not water. Kinda gross. The menu and options were our of the ordinary and well executed. The fried banana pepper appetizer seemed so simple but no one could stop eating it. Most of the sandwich options were ordered by our party and all plates were cleared by the end of the night. I had the his salad and split a purple pizza. The flavors of the pizza were well balanced. I am always leery of caramelized onions at places I haven’t been before. I generally dislike onions but when done right caramelized onions are amazing. The ones on this pizza were perfect. The salad was refreshing and broke the richness of the pizza. The only issue we had was probably on us. We had a member join the party late and apparently his order got lost. Once it was discovered it was turned over quickly.

This is definitely one of the weirdest places I have ever been to. In a bigger city, this place would be crawling with lower end people, but here, people dress up, wear suits and for a dive in bar? I don’t get it honestly. The pizza is great, the atmosphere is horrendous, drink prices are ok, but my biggest complaint is how rude their customers are. Just because I am not in a suit and tie and my girlfriend doesn’t have a fake Coach purse, doesn’t make you better than me. Good pizza, good drinks, good servers over all.

Harvest Moon is a great place to eat. I liked it when it was in downtown Albany, but the new location is better for many reasons as well. The seating is probably one of the biggest problems in this location. The tables and everything are just dingy. It’s really dark inside; of course, it is a bar. There is live music there constantly on the weekends. I’ve eaten here several times and I can honestly comment on several different dishes. My mother swears by the grouper sandwich, but I honestly don’t think it is all that great. It is fried and comes on a hoagie bun with some kind of tartar sauce. It is way too heavy for my liking. Their calamari appetizer is burnt almost every time I’ve tried it and I have had it several times. Their pot pie they make once a week is something odd. It comes out looking delicious and it is quite good. The crust is well done every time I’ve tried it. It can be a huge helping of food, though. Definitely one of the better things I have had here. Their Italian foods tend to be a bit much for me. I have tried their calzones and I cannot give it another shot. It was just way too heavy and the ingredients did not mesh. Their hamburgers tend to always be good and are probably the safest bet on the menu. Their little«fries» are good. They are little circular things. I guess I would call them chips more than fries. The parking at this location is pretty awful. It’s in a tight little parking spot and it’s off of a busy street. The owner, Bo Henry, is also a very nice guy. He cares about his customers and he would probably fix any issue you have. He also runs the Catch in an adjacent parking lot nearby.

I went here for late night food, because in Albany, Georgia there really aren’t too many other options. They have a lot of live music going on so they charge cover but since we were just there for the pizza we were let in without having to pay. It’s a small space so there’s really no way to escape the band-not that they were bad but it was definitely LOUD! In a space this small and a music that loud it’s hard to think much more get the attention of the bartender or waitstaff. The pizza was just okay, especially after waiting so long for it. I think if I gave it another try earlier in the evening things would be better.
