Grider Hill Dock & Indian Creek Lodge

This is the second time in the last two years we have stayed in the Sasafras Rooms at Grider Hill. We laughed about how dates and dirty the rooms were last year. It was definitely worse this year.
If you walked barefoot in the carpeted rooms, the bottom of your feet turned black. There was mold on the shower curtain and ceiling in the bathroom. We had to wrap a towel around the sink because the back of it leaked.
The water in the shower completely stopped working at one point. We called the front desk and they said they would send someone up right away. We never saw anyone. It just started working again after we kept messing with it.
The docks are in horrible shape and dangerous to walk on at night. There is not enough lighting.
They had a pretty good band Saturday night, but in my opinion, they should spend more money on repairs than entertainment. We had more fun walking the docks and seeing our friends and listening to their music than the band.

These are not nice friendly people.
Rented a houseboat for the weekend. Arrived a little early and the front desk told us to wait at the pier for the boat to be cleaned.
Loaded up the carts and went to the dock. Only one boat was still being cleaned. The cleaning ladies were done and told us the front needed cleaned, load our stuff on the inside and when «the boys» are done with lunch they would come and clean the front and orientate on the controls.
Loaded everything on the inside as instructed by a representative from their company and then we got a call from the front desk saying the boat wasn’t released and we needed to unload all of our stuff. That «the boys» are pissed.
We did nothing wrong and followed their instructions and were met with rude associates that are not able to communicate with each other and that seems to be our problem.
