For the out-of-towner, this place is hard to find! Look for the Bi-Mart on the south side of Santiam Hwy.; Ginza is in a line of commercial suites on the west side of the parking lot and cannot be seen from the highway. At 12:30 on a Friday I was initially one of three customers. The owners were VERY reserved with me; this may be cultural, not a personality disorder, but that doesn’t make it any more pleasant. A regular who came in after me and sat at the counter conversed civilly with the owners in the American way. That atmosphere of the establishment would be greatly improved by turning off the Muzak. I tried the sushi plate; not terribly varied, but first-rate ingredients and enough to fill me up. I wasn’t blown away.

Delightful food. The tempura was excellent. Loved their house salad. Service was not the greatest. Staff not friendly.

I have been to Albany many times and never knew about this little hidden gem. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much. But, man, the inside is authentic. I’m from Japan and felt right at home in this place. I’ve eaten at every Japanese place in Eugene and have found only one Japanese restaurant that is truly owned and operated by a Japanese. It’s so worth the drive to Albany to eat at Ginza. Even my Japanese mother who is so picky will love this place.

At at the place years ago with my mom, and completely forgot about it. Went again tonight with my fiancé and was super impressed. Got the Sushi Deluxe, and had such a good spread. It fed both of us well. Service was great, food was great. We’re definitely going to be visiting here again in the future

Very unique and authentic it’s one of those places you go and you think you know what your getting and you get something that blows your mind, no clue what you’re eating but it’s delicious. Keep an open mind! But definitely best sushi place.

Really really good Japanese food! Had a great dinner here, we ordered some tuna and yellowtail sushi and it was fresh and tasty. Great food and super nice staff and sushi chef. We will definitely go back.

We have been going here for years, best sushi in the area, their bento boxes are delicious, with big portions, and their noodle dishes are wonderful and not greasy like some other places. Best sushi in the area.

Great success! Was looking for some sushi on the road as we were driving south on I-5. The noodles were great, teriyaki yummy and sushi was great. The rolls were almost too big! I know. Who complains about too much sushi! The calamari tempura roll rocked!

Look, this place has wonderful food at a very good price. the quality of the products used are great. I tried the calamari and as well spicy chicken dishes well. It’s been referred to as a hole in the wall. But behind that wall some real nice things are coming out of the kitchen. looks can be deceiving. the kitchen and the interior of the restaurant is super clean. just give it a try if you’re in the area, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Drove to Albany after checking out the«Spruce Goose.» Father-in-law talked about this place so much that we had to try it so we drove one hour to barely get there in time for lunch. I was craving the chicken curry and I also ordered the shrimp tempura roll. There rolls are very limited and they are basic. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll since you can’t go wrong with that. Hubby ordered the tempura udon soup; father and brother in-law ordered a bento box. The portions are huge. The boxes looked like your standard bento box but the tempura portion was pretty big. My roll had 2 shrimp tempura in it and it tasted like they just cooked the shrimp. The curry was a little spicy which was unexpected but still had good flavor. Even though it took us an hour to get there, it was a nice drive and the food was delicious. Just make sure to check out there hours because we barely made it.

Really good — not much to look at on the outside but food is always great. Our family has been enjoying ginza for years now — never have had a bad experience and prices are very reasonable despite what other reviews have said(bet they haven’t had sushi in Portland in a while). Highly recommend, don’t let the location scare you off.

This is a definite hole in the wall place. Inside is very clean, and service is good. But the food. The food is outstanding. The sushi is a must try, and if youre not a huge fan of sushi they have crunch rolls, which are deep fried! The chef roll is my favorite and Id recommended to anyone. They also have a large variety of food that isnt sushi and its all so good aswell. And to top it off, everything is moderately priced. Ive been to ginza a handful of times and Ill keep going back. Definitely the best sushi place in town.

The sushi is so good I don’t even care that the service is horrible. It’s the only place I can eat sushi in the Corvallis/Albany area.

Great food, decent prices. The rolls are a little too large to fit into your mouth(and I am not a small dude!) but they are delicious. Great little place. Don’t let the exterior scare you away!

I just love this place. Authentic Japanese food by Japanese people. They are very polite and professional, and I even get to practice my Japanese when I go in. Oh, and the food is very good =)

We love Ginza, excellent bento boxes, and expertly prepared sushi rolls and nagiri(sp?). Very fresh food and hard working staff. Plus they’re not a chain, but family owned and I’m happy to support their business.

Hands down the best sushi place in the area(Corvallis and Albany). They make them pretty well in Ginza. It’s a little high in the price range, but it will actually be worth the pay. The chef roll is a go to for me, and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to try a deep fried roll. The Salmon Dynamite is also another good option to go to.
