When I’m looking for a great steak and pasta, I think of Delmonico’s. Good menu selections, and so far, I know the scampi is great, the prime rib is excellent, the delmonico ribeye is awesome. For my side pasta, I always ask for a pasta olio and they always make it a killer, with the full garlic flavor and no bitterness. Service is outstanding, and the bar made my Maker’s on the Rocks with an orange twist without question. This place is always full and crowded, the parking lot is always filled, even in the pouring rain or freezing snow storms.

I always get the linguini with white clam sauce. It never disappoints! They also have great mojito’s! I went with 3 others, two of which got the Delmonico steak. They were highly dissatisfied due to the amount of fat, which was more than half of the steak. At a price tag of 24.99, that’s a bit ridiculous. In all fairness, the menu does state that this is a fatty steak. They did get the NY strip on other visits and absolutely loved it. We will be back again for NY strip and linguine with white clam sauce. Great service and fun atmosphere. Don’t forget to try the portabella appetizer. I would eat here just for that! Yum!

Went here on New Years Eve and I could only hope the food was as good as the atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was below average and the entrée cost was $ 25 for a simple pasta dish. For two people to eat it was $ 90 with tip. For the food we got the portion was a little on the small size… it was the Three Cheese Filet Gorgonzola dish. The next night we went to a local family run restaurant down the road called Ralph’s Tavern and for 1⁄3 the price we had far superior food, larger portions and a better salad, service and better overall experience. I wouldn’t recommend Delmonicos to anyone unless you want to get ripped off for a cheap pasta dish that will cost you double anywhere else. Just awful! They rush you in and rush you out. It’s a chop shop restaurant where they want you in and out as quick as possible. YOU’VEBEENWARNED! AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOST!

Don’t think twice if you haven’t been here yet-Just Go! From the staff to the meal everything is beyond exceptional. Our waitress was really friendly and charming but not over the top. The food is really fresh and flavorful. I can’t wait until we come back here again!!!

We’ve been here several times and after our last visit I can’t recommend it. The food is average, oily, limited variety. I ordered a Guinness, tasted like the glass wasn’t rinsed. The waitress happily replaced it with an equally poor tasting Guinness. Think the third time was a charm I ordered a local IPA which also tasted like cleaner and to boot it was flat.

We had a delightful meal here. Tried the filet mignon, which was very soft, with a good crust. My companions got the Delmonico steak, which is just huge. The Utica greens were delicious and interesting. The pasta side was fine, but not memorable. The mushroom, onion, and pepper mix I got with my steak was practically decadent. The house red(merlot) was fine. The service was excellent. The setting/ambiance is nice/interesting. If I’m in the area I plan on coming back.

Live near several restaurants and for steaks, generous portions from appetizers to entrees, creative cocktails and service, Delmonicos can’t be beat! My friends and I go often and are never disappointed.

I came here last night for a work dinner. Since my team travels 100% of the time, it’s nice to go somewhere that feels like home. Needless to say about 90% of my team ordered some sort of steak which all received rave reviews from the table. We had indulged in lots of appetizers(fried mozzarella triangles, garlic bread, meatballs, calamari, and sausages). All which were wolfed down immediately. The food was flavorful, the portions for the appetizers and the entrees were very large. I myself was so full from apps that I ordered a side of fettuccine Alfredo for my meal which was perfect because it left me room for dessert! We ordered both the peanut butter cheesecake and the cappuccino pie. Both were delicious and each portion looked to be about a 1⁄3rd of a pie. 2 pieces of dessert was enough to feed our whole table, especially after that heavy meal. I also forgot to mention the house Cabernet was good, try it! This is not a place to come for light fare. It’s just not going to happen without some extreme self control, which I don’t have. That being said you can tell this place is a favorite among locals for celebrations. There were many birthdays and anniversaries with the servers singing around the restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive! I didn’t notice initially because it was so crowded(packed on a wed night at 6pm if that tells you anything!) but the servers dressed in all black and some with fedoras. The wine glasses also have fedoras on them to tie into an old school Italian American theme. There are also caricatures on the walls with funny captions and the Sinatra playing just adds to the atmosphere. If you are in the area, try this place out! It’s worth it!

We arrived after going to the movies at about 9:15 and was served and paying our bill by 10pm needless to say dinner wasn’t made to order… I ordered pasta with sausage and was served meatballs instead… Our waitress Briana exchanged it for sausage saying it was her fault she ordered incorrectly… but the flavor of them wasn’t very good so she replaced them for the meatballs again also we ordered house salad which was brought after the main coarse… I felt very rushed the whole evening even though the place was open till 11:30pm… The reason we came here is we had a gift card don’t think we will return… It was just ok!

Great Experience!!! I made a reservation for 5pm earlier in the day. I knew i was going to be running late so I called 15 till and asked them to change. They accommodated and were extremely polite and understanding. We arrived at 5:30 sharp and were immediately seated. The staff all had smiles on their faces and they presented a very pleasant atmosphere. Within seconds our waiter arrived at our table asking us for our drink order. She was amazing. Very polite I just wish I could remember her name. The food was amazing!!! The Lasagna fell from heaven and everyone else was so pleased. Serious A+ for service… They were very fast and made it possible for us to make it to the Kevin Hart Show on time… Thank you Delmonico’s for an amazing experience that may have me driving from Newburgh to experience again.

Very good restaurant. Have a lot of good memories here; the most notable being graduation night dinner. Décor is nice and food is, for the most part, quite delicious. I would highly recommend the $ 20 steak. It is quite fatty and succulent but it isn’t right for the person that counts calories. The garlic mashed potatoes are also really good. I usually get that as a side dish to the steak. Really good steak. This is where I would go if I had a «steak crave».

East Utica greens are authentic made with escarole, piping hot, good flavor. There are no rules to greens, its just that Uticans seem to think they need to smother everything with toasted bread crumbs, cheese, salt, and whatever else to bring out flavor. Still how can you go wrong, with this combination of ingredients they are bound to be good tasting. The veal was pounded out to the size of a dinner plate, delicious, hot, and just the right amount of cheese and sauce; enough for two people! The service was excellent, plenty of smiles, overall positive attitude of staff. Great bar. Clean place with festive ambiance of 30’s through 60’s Italian-American theme, with exception of Tony Bennett singing a cover of Foreigner’s greatest hits, wow. I suggested to the manager they should offer an establishment in Binghamton, NY. Being all the way from Albany, he hadn’t heard of the city and bought me a drink for the good feedback. ;) overall good experience and comfortable place; friendly atmosphere; good food

Let me start off by saying I’m Italian. I like to consider myself a pseudo-expert in all things Italian. When it comes to exotic cuisines like Ethiopian, I don’t know my way out of a paper doggie bag. Needless to say, Delmonico’s does one heck of a job. Nice atmosphere; causal but not informal to the point you wonder why you’re taking your sweet old grandmother out to some dump. Bring the family, wear shorts, wear a blazer — make it what you will. You’re gonna enjoy it regardless. They’ve got a decent selection of domestic beers and wines. Nothing crafty and expensive, but that’s expected. Delmonico’s isn’t a chain, but more of a «we had one great place and decided to make a few more of ‘em». And considering that status, they have some of the better Italian fare you’re gonna find out. All Italians know the sauce is the boss, and their marinara is essentially to die for. Put it on your meal, then ask for some more to take home cause it’s that freakin’ good. Ciao, amico!

With caricatures on the wall and music including Frank Sinatra playing, this has been a frequented restaurant for my family and I when we are just in the mood for some Italian and steak or celebrations. The bar is off to the right upon entering and can hold large crowds. I find the bar area quite busy weekend nights and sometimes even on weekday nights. The dining area is more of a romantic, somewhat upscale but maintaining casual area with dimmed lighting. It is comfortable for couples, a group of friends or family, and even larger parties. The servers and front desk staff are welcoming and get you in as soon as possible albeit the waiting time can easily be longer than an hour. I believe at 4pm they are open for dinner to begin and anything pushing past 6pm is almost guaranteeing some sort of wait. A basket with a warm and soft loaf of bread is brought to the table and served with butter on the side. This steakhouse particularly boasts in its Delmonico steak… a whopping 24 ounce steak that is roughly $ 24 this day. It has just the right amount of fat to flavor the cut of steak and I usually cut it out and enjoy the rest of the meat. It comes with a side of penne pasta(surprisingly al dente) with marinara and parmesan. They always ask if you want to upgrade the side to items like baked potato, mashed potato, etc for an additional charge. It is a flavorful and tender cut and I always ask for a cool red center leaning toward the medium rare side. In rare cases I have gotten my steak a little too done and they had no issue sending it back and delivering another steak to my liking. It can be portioned for two easily if the one and a half pounder is too much for you. My other favorites include the calamari, portobello mushroom parmigiana(large enough to call it a main entrée for one), bella napoli(please share with others), frutti de mare, one pound lasagna, and veal marsala. Don’t forget to save room for dessert because the tiramisu and chocolate chip cannoli is decadent! Now if I can find out if they have any happy hour deals I’ll be very content!

I was here with a party of ~12 for a post graduation dinner for my little sis. As we entered, the décor is a bit cliché and the poor servers and hostesses have to wear these crazy short skirts, fishnets, and white button up shirts. I was impressed that our wait wasn’t very long during peak hours on a Thursday and the restaurant was quite busy. We were seated in front of the fireplace and there were two servers to accommodate our large party. Drinks and orders were promptly taken and my aunt informed one of the servers of how the bill was going to be split up. I ordered a small plate East Utica Greens as an app which were so delicious that everyone kept swiping forkfuls off the little boat they’re served in. So, I just ended up ordering another to accompany my Delmonico’s Delmonico steak and mashed potatoes. My steak was cooked perfectly and although I asked the server if they season it and she confirmed(other reviewers hipped me to their non seasoned steak game) I ended up adding salt, pepper, and the special seasoning that was on the table, no biggie. The antipasto salad looked great(I had to refrain due to the bump), the calamari was tasty and tender, and the warm bread was a nice touch. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals! And I was very pleased to have an enormous amount left over to pick off of! I was a little disappointed that one of the servers came back to confirm how the bill would be split up but didn’t write it down, so it was still messed up. But I’m not too tight about it, as we had a very large party. And we had to request and remind them to refill our drinks on several occasions. I try to be a patient and kind patron because I’ve been a server(not a good one), but a sistah was thirsty!

Since moving to the Capitol District, I had heard stories about Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse, particularly the portion sizes and how much food you get for the price. So I finally had the chance to pay a visit to the steakhouse. A friend and I visited on a Sunday night, and the restaurant was filled with a good amount of people, light music playing in the background. It had a nice overall feel walking in. We were immediately seated in a booth and warm bread was brought out short after. The butter is salted with something that tastes really good with the warm bread. We killed the bread. On to the main course — we both decided to go with Delmonico’s Delmonico steak, for obvious reasons. Boxed on the menu with quote«BESTDEALINTOWN», it didn’t make sense in my mind to get anything else. I also love fat and ribeye steaks. The 24 oz steak came with a side of penne marinara pasta(cooked al dente very nicely), and we decided to split some garlic mash. My medium-rare steak was what I expected. Nicely cooked, fat on the ribeye was slightly charred, and a nice warm pink center. I finished it all. Taste-wise, with steakhouses, you usually get what you pay for, so I wasn’t expecting 5-star prime steakhouse quality steak, but it was most definitely worth the price and service. The quantity of food is what bumped my rating from 3 stars to 4. Overall 4⁄5 stars. Great environment and a delicious steak. Come here again? Yes — couple times a year.

Old school kind of place. Frank playing in the background. Good food. Pasta cook perfect and my steak was spot on. I like it rare, and that’s what I got. I sat at the bar. Great service. 2 bartenders on a Tuesday. They move and the drinks are good and cold. My only draw back, they don’t season the steaks. They offered A1, not for me. Beautiful cut of meat, sad I had to salt the crap out of it. That cost ½ star. I recovered and enjoyed the meal. Good place. Nice people. Good food. Almost great, but season your meat.
