The food would garner more stars if it wasn’t for the fact that the owners/employees are jerks! I get that some places need to see your face a few times before they begin treat you right; don’t necessarily agree with this practice, but I can deal if the place is good. Well that idea goes out the window here. For a stretch of 3ish years, I went here often. Nevertheless, the quality of service remained underwhelming. They are cold, inattentive, and just plain unfriendly. For the life of me, I cannot understand how a small business expects to survive when they treat customers like the enemy. I get that if you go in during a lunch rush they could be so busy cranking out orders that soft skills are not a priority. But to go there at off-peak times on a regular basis and still get an icy reception defies logic. I tried tipping well, making small talk, smiling; nothing. Therefore, I have boycotted the place out of principal. It’s too bad because this place is sooooo close to my office and most places in that plaza b-low. Perhaps if they choose to buck the status quo of Albany behavior(piss-poor attitudes), they could be even more successful. Then again, if customers look past their demeanor by virtue of their tasty sandwiches, who am I to judge? I’ll suck it up and just drive to Ragonese Imports on New Scotland for an awesome sub.
