Dam Near Home

In town for the weekend biking the hills and canoeing the Sugar River and happened upon this place for a bite after a long day. This place is fabulous– the food was amazing! Bar food extraordinaire! The jalapeño burger is to die for and the drinks are so reasonably priced. Owners are friendly and fun! What are you waiting for?! You’ve got to try this place out!

Good food; cold beer; and free shuffleboard with kick-​ass old school electronic scorekeeper system. This is a great little place! The shuffleboard alone is reason to check it out.

I’ve been here a few times since they opened. Used to be the Pitstop — the new owners have done a lot of nice renovations, new bar, etc. There’s plenty of room to dance, frequent Karaōke contests, and a decent selection of beers — local, brand, and micro. Food is typical pub fare. So far, they’ve had live music a few times, also during village events… if you’re in Albany, be sure to check them out!
Hint: If you are canoing or kayaking the sugar river, this place is right on the river, pull up your boat, climb the small stone wall, and walk in for a cold beer and lunch
