Crescent Moon has been providing professional landscape and garden design services for seven years in the Madison area. I’ve seen a number of the installations and client properties in Madison (shorewood hills area) and they are fabulous! The owner, Lu Vail, works diligently to balance owner desires with budget, maintenance and long term sustainability of installations. She won’t just make it look good NOW. Her designs thrive and are very well matched to site conditions.
For my own house, she has designed numerous gardens and provided great suggestions on planting options, alternatives for land scaping, and ways to reduce maintenance. I couldn’t be more happy and will continue to seek her advice and give her business.
Hint: Only complaint… she can be VERY busy and well booked… a sign of a competent and professionally run business. If you are serious about wanting something done, contact her and work to develop a schedule that fits. Note — while she doesn’t do large hard scaping work — she does provide great referrals to some local business that provide similar level of professionalism and expertise (e.g. NOT Bruce).
