Courtyard by Marriott Albany/Airport

Walked into my bathroom and I thought it smelt like urine. Lifted up the toilet seat– it was urine! Dried urine all over the toilet seat and along the bottom of the toilet on the bathroom floor. Second Marriott that I’ve stayed at this week to have this problem. Will not be staying here again.

Stayed here one night while Christmas shopping in the area. After a long day of shopping and lots of walking, we were looking forward to jumping in the pool and Jacuzzi to relax. We checked them out and decided not to go in. The pool didn’t look too appealing, and the Jacuzzi looked dirty, especially the tile and the grout. There was no way we were stepping into that. That was a shame.
Positive points for the hotel though were very clean and comfortable rooms. Bathroom is a bit small, but very nice. Set back from Wolfe Rd and far enough from the highway behind the property that noise wasn’t an issue. Didn’t have a problem with the free wifi connection at all.
Plenty of restaurants and shopping all nearby. Much easier location to get in and out of than other hotels at the end of Wolfe Rd. There’s no free breakfast offered here, but at least there are plenty of places nearby — Dunkin is right down the street.
All and all, we’d definitely stay here again. The pool/​jaccuzzi cleanliness does need to be addressed though

Nice place. Updated and always clean. Free WIFI. Good location within a 2 min walk to Sushi, Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill etc…

Tired property in a great location. Very expensive for a room that is in need of updating. Rooms were clean and service friendly.

Had a wonderful sleep here for the night. Its close to the airport and convenient. The hotel is kept clean and has plenty of space to relax in the lobby, including a TV for watching sports or whatever might be on. The room was clean as I’d expect for a Courtyard hotel, however I was disappointed by the noise I could hear from the hallway. The doors aren’t very heavy or soundproof apparently, as I could hear everything going on outside my room. This was the reason for the 3 stars. as nice of a hotel it was, the disruption to my sleep in the morning as people were checking out brings the rating down.

A little over two years later I’m back in Albany and back at this Courtyard. Its still clean, and well kept.
The internet connection is among the best I’ve had in any hotel. 18.93 Mbps download and 16.89 upload. Every channel on the TV is in HD. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The Burger King is gone (good), there’s a Chipotle a half mile down the street (great) and a wide variety of other places to eat within a short drive. Of course they have decent food, wine and beer on the premises as well.

A clean and convenient hotel to stay at if you need a place to stay.
I spent a week here while working at a local project of my companies. The room was clean and quite. The bar was a nice feature and the staff was very friendly. Its a short walk /​drive to many places to eat and relax if you want to get our of the hotel and only a short drive to downtown Albany.
Do not stay here if you need a good internet connection or want to watch TV. More the half of the channels are either blank or very choppy. I assume this is due to the rain and their satellite but it still not enjoyable. As for the internet I have tried both wired and wireless and sometimes I can get the webpages and sometimes I have to hit refresh for a couple of minutes until it connects.
The place probably deservers a 3 and ½ stars but thats not an option.

Comfortable hotel right near Albany Airport, about a 15 min. drive from Albany and on a street with lots of chain restaurants and other hotels. About half a mile from interstate 87. Area feels very safe.
Pros: clean, comfortable, new furnishings and lobby. Two treadmills in an exercise room and a pool.
Cons: it’s behind a Burger King and right next to a Red Lobster– not exactly the most charming location.
If I’m back in Albany, I’ll definitely stay here again.
