I visited this restaurant on impulse for lunch while in town on business. I sat at the bar and met the bartender Danielle. She let me know the specials and a dish the chef was trying out. Stuffed sea bass with asparagus and broccoli. This turned out to be an excellent choice as this is the best meal I have had in recent memory. A delicious well made meal that was very satisfying. Danielle was very pleasant and attentive and knew her stuff. I highly recommend it and hope it makes it permanently on the menu. This turned out to be the perfect time to try this restaurant.

My friend and I went for the endless bubbles brunch on Sunday. We made a reservation for 10 am via their website. When we got there we were informed that the endless bubbles didn’t start until noon die to serving laws, unfortunately it didn’t state this anywhere obvious on their website when we made the reservations. The staff was very nice about it and changed our reservation to noon. But we then had to kill two hours wandering around colonie center while already starving. We went back at noon and were seated immediately. I ordered the western omelette and my friend ordered the kobe beef brunch burger. The endless bubbles offered 4 varieties of drinks, all were good and the, staff was great about keeping ours refilled. The food arrived quickly, my omelette was pretty disappointing looking and didn’t have much filling, definetly wouldn’t order it again, the potatoes au gratin that came with it were very good. My friends burger on the other hand was delicious, for the rest of the day I thought about how good it had tasted and how much I wish I’d ordered it. All in all it was a pretty good brunch. I definetly drank more than 20 $ worth of the endless bubbles making it well worth the price. Just avoid the omelets.

I don’t give out five stars all the time however I have never been dissatisfied with the restaurant every single time I’ve gone. The outdoor seating is always a plus. Brunch at this establishment on the weekends is fantastic. The cheesy potatoes are to die for. ANDENDLESSBUBBLES! Yes please! Each time I have visited for dinner has also been just as wonderful. It’s a very large restaurant so even though it’s always packed you’re never waiting around for too long. The servers are always fantastic I cannot say enough good things. I will always go back!

Walked right in got a table everyone was friendly place is nice. Our waitress Christine was super attentive and helpful. Food was ok had the bang bang shrimp and sea bass. Fish is cooked over a wood grill which adds nice flavor. But in the end it’s a chain restaurant and the food reflects that… kinda dull and uninspired and a little pricy(good for the masses I guess). Not running back anytime soon.

One of the worst meals I can remember. Everything started out nice. I like that they take reservations. We were able to get seated without a problem on a busy Saturday night. The inside is actually very nice for a chain restaurant. The service was a little slow but passable. For an appetizer we ordered the bang bang shrimp which was excellent. For my entrée I got the Fontina Chop which is a boneless pork chop with fontina cheese, garlic, prosciutto, mushroom marsala wine sauce. At first I was impressed. The pork chop was surprisingly tender and perfectly cooked. As I continued to eat it went from overseasoned to just plain unbearable. I’m not sure if it was the seasoning on the pork chop itself or the marsala sauce but it was the saltiest dish I’ve ever been served. The sides were an embarrassment. I can’t believe a restaurant that gives the illusion of being higher end would use instant mashed potatoes and au gratin potatoes that looked like they were from a box. In retrospect I should have sent it back.

I had such a wonderful experience eating at Bone Fish Grill. Their brunch offers unlimited mimosas amongst other yummy drinks with an entrée for just $ 20. Our server, Chris, was attentive and polite. He impressed me beyond words with his friendliness and eager to please. I had a crème brûlée French toast that was the best breakfast item I’ve had in the Capital Region. Timely service and amazing food. Thank you!

Ate here Friday ¾ and had the bacon wrapped scallops appetizer and Chilean sea bass for dinner with Key Lime Pie for desert. The bacon wrapped scallops were fantastic. The Chilean sea bass on the other hand was cold in the center. Since I hadn’t eaten at a BFG in quite some time I politely asked if that was how it should be served and told no. The did cook the fish fully and apologized for the mistake. The key lime pie was the best I’ve had in a long time. With a total bill of close to $ 55 I won’t run right out and eat there again, but I will put it on my list of places to eat when I want to treat myself.

Nice looking interior. They must be selling music, because it was loud with a back beat and I was the only table there. If they were selling food, my guess is that there would have been a lot of other people and the music would have been in the background. Yes, it was lunch on a Saturday. But, I buy music online. The bisque was good to very good and the cagun tacos were waaay too blackened. The heat was an 8 and it should have been a 4. So, pass on the tacos. If you choose well, it’s just a good looking, modern fashionable restaurant with stylized food. I suppose others like that. Not me.

We tried BoneFish Grill while on vacation in Albany. We visited on a Tuesday early in the evening and there was no wait to be seated. Our server Luca was very attentive. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp which was a great choice for the hubby and myself. Hubby had the Twin Lobster Tail with Truffle Mac & Cheese and Broccoli. He enjoyed it all without having to grab the salt or black pepper. I had the Grilled Lamb Chops with Jasmine Rice and French Fries. Everything was made perfectly. Hubby really enjoyed his Grapefruit Tini that I never had a chance to taste it.

I’d been to a Bonefish Grill before, but 10 years ago and didn’t remember much about it. I had a 20% off coupon, so I decided to check it out again, for the first time. The complementary bread was toasty warm — crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. The olive oil/pesto dip was delish. We got the Bang Bang Shrimp(of course), and there was more than enough for the two of us to share. The shrimp was crispy and flavorful, even before the spicy mayo sauce. It’s easy to see why it’s their most popular appetizer. I started with a cup of corn chowder with lump crab meat. The creamy base had great flavor, and the other ingredients were cooked to perfection. No soggy soup bits! My fiancé enjoyed his lobster bisque. For entrees, I went with the spicy tuna bowl. Eight or so pieces of seared, sesame-crusted tuna served with dipping sauce, rice, avocado, and shredded… carrot? ginger? topped with crispy wonton noodles. I enjoyed the tuna; it was cooked perfectly and had a nice crust. The«spicy» dipping sauce was not spicy at all, and I’m a wimp with the spice. The rice was cooked well, the avocado was avocado-y, the wonton strips were crispy, and I dipped it all in the massive bowl of dipping sauce. Save for the shredded mystery veggie. I didn’t eat that. I just remembered it also came with papaya salsa; unremarkable enough for me to forget it entirely. My fiancé fared better with one of the specials… salmon topped with spinach and blue cheese. He upgraded his sides to get truffle mac and cheese and crab fried rice. I tried his mac, and boy oh boy was it good. He said the fried rice was«just ok». I guess I didn’t realize it was more of an upscale chain, so we were a tad underdressed in our hoodies and jeans. Oops. Didn’t affect our service though; we were seated right away and Elizabeth was fantastic! Our dishes were cleared and next courses brought out promptly, but we never felt rushed. Prices are higher than your standard seafood chain, but the food and service reflect it. Overall I enjoyed the experience, but probably won’t go out of my way to eat here again without another coupon.

I came here on my birthday for the 3rd time with my mom(she was a first-timer). I enjoy the edamame-it’s quite good. The salmon was delicious and the Bang Bang shrimp is AH-MAY-ZING! My mom was also a huge fan of the Bang Bang shrimp, and recently turned a friend of hers onto it. Pretty yummy for a chain — I was pleased-especially with the service. Try the pear martini!

We didn’t feel like eating leftovers at home tonight so we tossed up the idea of a new restaurant that just opened this past week, or sushi somewhere. Then I suggested a place that we’d been wanting to get to for the last two years. There were a lot of cars parked around the Bonefish Grill building when we arrived about 7:30 pm. But there was no problem with seating the two of us in a little booth for two back by the server’s POS station. I was surprised that my wife didn’t request another table, but I actually liked the location as I also enjoy watching how a place is organized and run. Our server, Samantha, was very outgoing and friendly, and once she learned that this was our first time at BG she made the effort to explain everything to us and ask if we had any questions. She did alert us that Wednesday is Bang Bang Shrimp day so it only costs $ 6 instead of the normal price which escapes me. There was also a Specials menu with an app, four entrées, and a dessert. The reverse side had several special cocktails, a wine, and one beer. We were not given either a wine or beer list so we had to ask our server what beers were available on tap. From the list of about only four or five I choose the Davidson Brother’s IPA($ 5.50). My wife selected one of the special cocktails, the Pear Tini($ 8.50). Her drink was not overly sweet, but also not the best pear martini she’s had. The DBIPA was good as usual. Having read that the Bang Bang Shrimp is a «must have» we started with that. I was surprised how quickly they were able to prepare it and have it to our table. But the shrimp were perfectly cooked and hot enough that you might burn you mouth. They had just enough spice to recognize it in a creamy mayonnaisey coating. My wife was tossed between ordering the Oscar Mahi Mahi($ 21.50) from the Specials menu or the Chilean Sea Bass. After a discussion with our server my wife decided upon the Sea Bass. It turned out that the Sea Bass was also available in two portion sizes — 6 oz. or 8 oz. My wife went with the 8 oz.($ 28.90) figuring she could always bring some home if it turned out to be more than she could finish. That happened to be the case. The fish was perfectly cooked with excellent fire-grilled char marks. The accompanying mango salsa was just okay, but the broccoli and the spaghetti squash were very good. My choice was the Swordfish & Pumpkin Ravioli($ 21.40) topped with feta, crispy onions, truffle butter, and served with French green beans. Once again, the kitchen did a fantastic job of grilling the fish. My swordfish was very moist and flaky with attractive grill marks. The pumpkin ravioli were delicious, NOT sweet, and NOT tasting like a pumpkin pie. The green beans were just okay. While I was able to finish all of my meal, l was too full to enjoy dessert. So I decided on Plan B — I had them place a slice of Coconut Cream Pie($ 5) in a to-go container to enjoy later. I did enjoy it several hours later, but decided that the accompanying rum sauce was too sweet. Fortunately, the rum sauce was packed separately so I was able to limit how much of it I ate with each bite of pie. I really think this should be 3 ½ * but I’m rounding up because the kitchen does such a great job in cooking the fish.

People who eat here: A-Not from New England… B-Clifton Park people who think corporate chain dining is «sophisticated»… C-People who willingly overpay needlessly for seafood… To be fair the food isn’t bad… it’s just my New England roots scream no Bonefish or Red Lobster… NEVEREVER.

Ordered the 8 oz Filet Mignon. It came with sugar snap peas and one other side. I chose the mashed sweet potatoes, they were delicious. I ordered my steak medium rare with a bleu cheese crown on top. It came out a perfect medium rare and the bleu cheese crumbles on top made the filet extra luscious. They only charged $ 1.50 extra to get it with the bleu cheese crumbles. The sides were delicious. They serve fresh bread with a pesto oil for dipping prior to the main course and that was a nice extra. Service was amazing. The manager came over at the end and was very friendly and asked us how our meal was. We had nothing but good stuff to say. My boyfriend ordered the same as me and he loved his meal as well. Wonderful experience, we will definitely be visiting again.

We had a reservation for 18 guests… yes a large party, and had a short wait so that the tables could be situated together. A majority of us decided to grab some drinks at the bar meanwhile waiting for the rest of the party to stumble in. The bar is a nice and quite spacious area to enjoy some crafty apps and drinks. Once we had been seated, the service gradually declined. We had placed our orders with two servers who seemed to share the servicing of our table. We were brought little baskets of their house bread with an olive oil based dip… that was warm and toasty. Our appetizers came in a timely manner. I had the corn chowder and lump crab, which was very creamy(I am so tired of watery, flavorless chowders at other places) and I could definitely taste the hint of bacon the menu boasted. I had sampled a few other apps which also were fantastic. This restaurant has many selections: not only seafood; burgers, salads, pasta, chicken, steaks and chops. I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos… a pleasantly spicy choice. It reminded me of the spicy rock shrimp or fried sriracha shrimp offered elsewhere. The portions appeared generous. I did not have room for any dessert but also was not tempted by the dessert selection anyway. But to a disappointment, the service leaves a lot more to be desired. Throughout the course we were only asked once the entire time how our meal was and we had to ask for drink refills multiple times. It took a long time to flag down our server(s), especially when we wanted to request the check. It appeared to me the server(s) were overwhelmed by larger parties. All in all I think the food is a little pricey for the price paid(as a chain restaurant) and larger groups may not be a great idea here. I’d come back with 2 or 3 people for lunch/dinner, happy hour at the bar, or weekend brunch … they showcase pretty solid brunch items I’m willing to taste.

Have been wanting to try this place since my first business trip to Albany. Got in tonight and didn’t feel like venturing far, and found this to be a solid good place for seafood. On par with Red Lobster but better grilled fish here although I like the lobster and shrimp specials at Red Lobster. Far better atmosphere and feels more upscale and less like a family place. The Bang Bang Shrimp are a must-get. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly grilled and tender and great with the mango salsa, the lime tomato pesto, and the lemon butter sauces(all sounded great so got them all). Large wine list with good selections, good list of beers, and good looking exotic mixed drinks. All in all, a good chain restaurant. Was back again this week for dinner and had the Arctic Char special. Very good prep and sauce, and the best Arctic Char I’ve had. Of course, had the Bang Bang Shrimp and a draft Blue Moon!

Overcooked food with over inflated prices! Another chain restaurant with sub par food pretending to be trendy & upscale! Had better meals in a school cafeteria or at Golden Corral! Started with the daily special of oysters… more shells in the oyster than oyster! If they want to be a seafood restaurant they might want to hire a cook that can shuck an oyster properly! Was embarrassed for the server for having to drop that plate with the perfect single ice cream scoop of mashed! The filet was so over cooked it looked unrecognizable! Bonefish ILL! the best thing we ate was the broccoli & was not worth a return visit! Just another chain restaurant overcharging when they should be offering a dollar meal for that is the level this food was on!

Being second time only here for lunch and having a coupon handy, I decided to swung by here for decent lunch. Ordered the bang bang shrimp Po Boy Sandwich with side of pesto couscous. The sandwich was overflowing with Bang Bang Shrimps, coated in sweet spicy creamy sauce with breading. Served with cucumbers tomatoes and lettuce. Bread baked just right. So good. Of the 3 sides to choose from, Pesto couscous salad stroke my curiosity. Pesto dressing was light with minimal oil. A great side to any dish! Coming at non peak lunch time(1:00), I felt the service was attentive and fast(10 min wait for food). Nice ambient dark setting for couples, businessmen, family and friends gathering, etc. Dining room designed with fish theme… how appropriate! Food quality delicious and quantity sufficient. Price of $ 10.70 for lunch an occasional treat for me, but not enough food for its what worth? Overall, good lunch. I can’t speak for their other seafood dishes and dinner… Will have to try that next time with coupon!

I’ve been to Bonefish probably 4 or 5 times now since they’ve opened and I continue to be pleased with the food. Yes, it’s a chain, and all that implies. But it’s a good chain. It’s certainly a big step above that other seafood chain(cough cough Red Lobster cough cough). And one of the better chains on the Broadway of chains, Wolf Road. Hmm, I like that: «Wolf Road, the Broadway of chains!» I think I should copyright that before someone steals it. But I digress. Your best best are the plain grilled fish selections. Here the fish is the star and isn’t hidden in a ton of sauce or breading. And they know how to cook it properly. The fish selections aren’t exotic, but they’re decent enough.
