Wider selection than Sam’s Club however you must play stupid coupon games.
Insane data collection and mining policies. They will sell your information to 3rd parties. If you don’t care about that stuff and your hard into the coupon game this is your place. Please Costco hear my prayers and let your light illuminate the Capital District.

a favorite of mine. Why go to Price chopper for ketchup when I can get a pack here for a better price? you will love their selection of international cheese, candy, meats, etc! I love BJ’s. Tip: take advantage of the coupons they mail you! I save on laundry detergent and other key items

Bj’s is an okay place to shop. They offer a military discount on memberships, which was really our driving force to join. And we had a birthday party to throw for about 50 people and buying everything in bulk was really the key to doing that for a reasonable amount. Bj’s sends out coupons and those are great to use and can save you some money. The real trick of shopping here is to know the prices of what you’d get elsewhere. For example, you can get a great deal on K-cups here, but not as much on some personal beauty items. Sunday, however, is a terrible day to shop here. The place is a complete madhouse and the lines to check out are down the aisles. And the one thing that can be frustrating is that you put your items in the cart, check out, and then have just individual items to carry from your car to the house. Sometimes I don’t want a bag or something to carry in, but other times it would be useful not to have small items just all over the car when I get home. Overall, if you do a lot of bulk shopping, you can get some good deals here and the membership price may be worth it.

I have always trusted BJ’S in the past but the eye galsses they sold me are the worst i have ever owned. Just six months old and there is a dull film across the lense that render them usless. The response from SKeeter in the eye glass dept was you did not buy the warrenty so you are out of luck. They did offer to replace the lense for $ 150 more than i paid for frames and lenses. Do Not Buy glasses from this store.

BJ’s is just an OK warehouse store. Best things are cheaper gas, cheap hot dogs(if you are hungry), and sometimes some good deals on large quantity grocery items. My biggest issue is the membership fee. It takes a long time to recover the cost unless you are shopping frequently for a large family. Also the checkout lines can be unacceptable long. I have walked out several times because the lines were too long and too inefficient if you just want an item or two.

I have been a member here for several years. I love their lower priced gas station and always pick up wine & liquor here too. Their prices for meat and seafood are usually very good. I only buy certain things here in bulk, but I always have been happy with the customer service.

This is just Costco’s red headed step child. Think of dry groceries by the case. Frozen food by the case or pallet. Tires at a discount. Meat at a discount. Etc. You just have to be a member. The problem is — that lots of this crap isnt exactly what anyone would want. And — its in quantities only a family of 14 could use.

If I never shop here again, it will be too soon. That great olive oil they had on my first trip was nowhere to be seen. I guess that’s the problem with closeouts, or advantage buys, or whatever BJs wants to call them. The things I would buy: 1) Are no cheaper here. 2) Come packaged with flavors I wouldn’t use. 3) Contain more food than even a hoarder like me can reasonably justify. All in the warm and inviting atmosphere of a warehouse. And all they ask is for you to pay them for the privilege of shopping there?!? No thank you. Not for diapers. Not for toilet paper. Certainly not for food or consumer electronics. — - - Fortunately, their adjacent wine store, which suffers from none of the above problems is open to the public.

One gallon of mustard? Great! Twenty pounds of chicken for five dollars? Don’t mind if I do! Five hundred Twix bars? Gimme some! My dream is to one day buy enough toilet paper to last the rest of my life. BJ’s is helping me to achieve that dream. BJ’s: Making Dreams Come True.
