Irving Peter Electric

I picked Peter Irving Electric at random from the Good Service Guide and I’m so glad I did. They are great and if I could give them more than five stars, I would. They are by far the most professional team of people I’ve dealt with when it comes to getting work done on my house. They responded promptly to my initial inquiry, did a walk through with me to identify the work that needed to be done, gave me a WRITTEN estimate within two days of the walk through as promised, arrived at my house EARLY on the day that they were scheduled to do the work, and completed the work on time and on budget!
Prior to finding Peter Irving Electric, I spent a lot of time trying to get other electricians to just call me back. I also stayed home from work one day waiting for another electrician who had an appointment, didn’t show up, didn’t bother to call to tell me he wasn’t coming, and didn’t follow up afterwards to reschedule. Ridiculous! Well, no more of that nonsense now that I have found Peter Irving Electric. I have already recommended Peter to one friend and won’t hesitate to recommend him over and over again!

I found Peter Irvng in the good service guide 13 years ago. Peter, Donna and their team are a well oiled machine. They are incredibly efficient: knowledgeable, resourceful, and timely. Directly, he did incredible work with my home by installing recessed lights and my plasma tv. All are in great order still. Indirectly through a contractor, his work on my jet tub and electrical for my two bathrooms and kitchen were exceptionally done. Today he mounted my bedroom television, replaced all florescent and halogen lights with LED lights in my garage, bedrooms and kitchen. In addition, he took care of a troublesome relatively new ceiling fan light that was installed by a handyman. All of his work is absolutely amazing. I’m thrilled. I found the prices very reasonable. What’s more, his team is extremely responsive. Emails and calls are returned quickly. I often have to call services several times before hearing back.

They got back to me almost immediately after I filled out an online request. Scheduled the walk-​thru based on my availability and had the proposal ready for me to review the day after. The proposal was clearly laid out, how much total cost was going to be and, if there are any unexpected work/​material, I would have to be consulted before getting it done. Everything worked out great — no surprises in the total cost (I paid what I was quoted) and the work done is excellent. Very neat and no unnecessary visual sore. I was also asked before running any line or pipe to make sure I was in agreement about their placement before proceeding.
I consulted with another electrician before Peter and was quoted only a tiny bit more, but the main thing that made me go with his company is the fact that he didn’t tell me he’d have to punch holes on the walls and I would have to repair and paint them myself. He figured out a way to do the job with the least damage possible.
I highly recommend them!

Peter Irving Electric is by far the best Electrical Contractor, I have came across in 25 years of home remodeling. He thinks outside the box for your needs in home lighting.

I found Peter Irving Electric in Good Service Guide. I won’t use that guide again. This company charges more than my attorney: $ 750 for 1.5 hours of work = $ 500 an hour to hang a chandelier. And I had to call them back a few days later because there was a problem with their work. They came back and fixed it.
A few months later I had a much larger electrical job and I hired a different company, RRR Electric, who spent 6 hours working at my house including installation of a new panel and an EV charging station and additional plugs. RRR charged me $ 700 for all that work.
