This is the best thrift store I’ve ever been in. The clothes are beautiful, the employees are so helpful and the manager is wonderful. I always find something great, and love the vintage sale. This is a great place to shop. Once you go there you become addicted. There is always a sale when I come here! Today when I came in there was a 40% off everything sale, and the first thing I saw when I walked in was a clothing rack for 60% off! The people who work here are friendly and greeted me with a smile; the atmosphere is relaxed with the radio playing 80’s pop songs and people. The clothes here are clean and in good to excellent used condition. There was a floral skirt a pair of red high heels that fit me like a glove. The final cost for the two items was $ 10 — what a steal! Apparently they have other locations, but I know that Alamo Thrift Shoppe will always be my favorite!

Just a shop we stopped at as we drove thru town. Clean shop, friendly workers. Found one of my favorite books here and it was 50% off!

I like this little place! I have found lots of treasures here, from mixing bowls to antique glassware to tablecloths, and a fabulous vintage velvet hat. Everyone there has been extremely nice, from the manager to the salespeople. One, Miran, is always so helpful. I like to stop in whenever I am nearby.

Hospice thrift here is pretty small. they just seem to mostly stock clothes, which are tastefully staged. probably other items here also but didn’t pay attention. noticed a few books in the window and the sign: «25% off, every day» titles: -«almost a revolution»(2) about tienamen square… -«soul mountain»(1) nobel prize for literature-2000 thrift notes: –price on books not evident. hard cover maybe 2, soft cover 1. –cheerful, helpful cashier. –everything neatly arranged here.

If you are not one of the older lady click do not go here. I overheard the manager telling the nicest people working in there, 2 Latinas, that they could not speak Spanish in the shop. Isn’t it 2011 ??? I thought that kind of restricted behavior was dead and gone. Obviously not in Alamo. Gee go figure.
