My husband came here while he was undergoing his cancer treatments. I would fuss that he needed to keep good oral health. Dr Tal was always so compassionate, never overcharged, and was generous with his time. He didn’t try to oversell or push procedures. Dr. Tal is a good, honorable person. Thank you, Dr. Tal, for helping my husband during such a hard time.

Dr. Tal is a really great dentist who doesn’t overcharge or try to get you to get treatments you don’t need. I know this both as a person with insurance and without, because I have seen him while insured and while uninsured and he treated me the same way. In fact, when he noticed I was no longer insured and paying out of pocket he waived part of his normal fee and charged me only for the cleaning because he has a good heart. Because I had a tongue piercing for over 20 years, the gums behind my front bottom teeth had begun to recede. A decade ago I had two root canals, and 4 years ago I had to have one of those teeth capped with a crown. The first time I saw Dr. Tal he told me this all could have probably been avoided if I had never had that piercing which was now causing even more damage and that mouth piercings are a dentist’s biggest enemy. He suggested that I consider removing it. To his surprise, I took a minute to imagine life without my two front teeth, the expense of having them replaced, and asked him to help me remove the piercing right then and there. He said mine was the first piercing he ever removed. Since then(about a year ago), my gums have been getting better and I’ve sent my boyfriend to him as well who also loved him(and he is terrified of dentists). He’s kind and talkative, and I’ll go back to him as long as he’s in business and I live in the area.

I love Dr. Tal! He is one of the kindest, most considerate dentists around. I have been his patient for many years now… well prior to relocating to SoCal. I always find a way to visit him in between breaks from class to get a routine exam and cleaning. He pays attention to every little detail in my mouth. Tiny abrasions from my constant grinding(due to stupid exams) are never over looked. Dr. Tal will even take note of the slightest abnormalities on my tooth! Anyway, to make a long story short, he is truly a conservative dentist, who is honest and genuine! He will only perform treatment if absolutely necessary. Did I mention he is extremely caring as well? Can’t find any other dentist like him… Miss you Dr. Tal and I’ll see you soon during this summer break! :D

I have been going to Dr. Tal for four years now. He is great! He is definitely quirky and down to earth. He entertains me while he cleans my teeth and we talk about everything… the politics o f the day, places to vacation, great restaurants to eat at, etc. Having had two kids that go to Alameda Pediatric Dentistry, I would say that Dr. Tal’s prices are very reasonable. He is moderate; he doesn’t scare you into getting services you don’t really need like teeth whitening, braces, etc. He’s honest and seems to have my interest in mind over that of his pocket book. At the end of each visit, Dr. Tal also gives a free toothbrush and toothpaste away. It’s nice because I don’t have to buy my own toothbrushes.

Dr. Tal is great! I am deathly afraid of the dentist, but Dr. Tal’s quirky, friendly demeanor was just what I needed to take the jitters and nervousness away from me. His offices are filled with great decorations to take your mind off the visit, and his assistants were friendly and reassuring. Definitely recommend!
