Dr. BIrenbaum wrote on her page in Kaiser that«What I enjoy most about my job is working with individuals to improve their quality of life by keeping them healthy and well.» I went to see her because my Dr., who was treating me for a yeast infection in my milk ducts, was on vacation. I told Dr. Birenbaum that the sharp pains associated with this infection had returned and she told me sharp pains in my breasts was normal. She told me she had never heard of «this pathology» although both my current Kaiser doctor and my previous ob/gyn had given me the aforementioned diagnosis. Bottom line, she did not listen to me or check my medical records online. She wasn’t interested in «improving my quality of life», but rather told me she was inclined not to treat me and then begrudgingly gave me medication because I refused to let her ignorance«this pathology» keep me from getting the medication that has helped relief this infection in the past. When she left me she said, «Enjoy». I’m not clear what this comment meant, but it didn’t make any sense and all I can say is that her bedside manner reflects litte of her personal statement on . I wouldn’t suggest her as an ob/gyn to anyone. She doesn’t listen to you, nor does she seek to understand you.
