Who knew that this little market would now be my go-to for Take-and-Bake Pizza! And it is $ 4.99 for an entire pizza! The dough is made onsite, the pepperoni pizza was loaded with pepperoni — no skimping. Just pop in the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes. The staff was really friendly and takes much pride in their store. They have a pretty big selection for a convenience store and the prices are reasonable. Glad I finally discovered this place!

Date: 8÷22÷2015 Time: 1:00PM72° Sunny Bonfare Market had a grand opening event under new management today. The correct address is 650 Central Avenue, Suite H; not Suite B. The business is also family-owned. The market is okay for convenience only. The prices are higher for grocery items than chain supermarkets(Safeway, Nob Hill, Lucky). The only good deal that they had was a large pepperoni pizza for $ 5.99. The pizza was edible. At least the crust did not taste like cardboard… lol. Because of their grand opening, they were holding a raffle for free gifts(tee shirts, ice buckets, pizza certificates, bottles of wine, a wall clock) about every 15 minutes. The manager/owner was even handing out a free slice of pepperoni pizza to everybody standing around. Return trip? Probably for the pepperoni pizza at the price of $ 5.99, plus tax, when I don’t feel like cooking.

Good sized market, but nothing special about it. It’s somewhat generous of a rating given the service. I waited at the counter recently with two people behind the counter and waited over a minute to be greeted or assisted. Hopefully this is an anomaly, but I’ll be less likely to go back.

Prices are jacked up. Clerk made an ignorant comment about me being Asian. Never shopping here again.

Bonfare Market has unpriced beers, pricey groceries, sodas, etc. great place to go in the wee hours(till midnight) –before then, i would go elsewhere for cheaper stuff. 2 stars for value drink: fuze tea(.99) –not a lot of sugar drips: –friendly checkout, if u don’t a cashier, check in front of store.

Awesome hours for Alameda(open till midnight), and good beer selection. Really, what more could you ask for when you need some basic staples or snacks or beer late at night and you live in East Alameda? Nice owner, too.

American Idol lollipops, celebrity endorsed Kraft Dinner and Moon Pies. Mmm, Bonfare! Seriously, Bonfare sells a slight selection of dairy products and your basic produce(lemons, limes, ginger and such). It’s much more than a convenience store, but not nearly Safeway or Lucky’s. Lots of liquor and wine specials though!

They’re convenient, they have a lot of stuff, but I have trouble trying to figure out if the smell that’s incredibly similar to a bucket of decaying dead frogs covered in horseshit is coming from the employees themselves, or the store. Make sure you examine the sell by date on items you purchase here, especially stuff that comes in cans. I’ve come home twice with things that were past their sell by date.
