Bay Area Flooring Super Store

This business is by far the worst on the planet. If you can read this stay far and clear of this so called business. initially i came in and they said that the floor that i chose would be available. The price that they quoted me for was 2.99. The following day, they called me and said that the price is now going to be 4.00. i was in a bind because contractor were coming in a week and i needed the floors. They said that the floors were going to be in that tuesday. Wednesday was the day the contractors were going to install the floors. I did not receive a phone call from them as a courtesy from them to tell me that the floors werent going to be there for another week! I had to call them to tell them and they told me the news! needless to say, I cancelled the order and they said that they would issue me a check in 2 – 3 days. I called everyday and they kept reffering me to different people and they said that their bank account was on hold and they could not issue me a check because they were in lack of funds. I told them that they cashed my check within 2 days of me paying and due to their mismanaging, its not the consumers fault! The so called associate kept reffering me to accounting. Can you believe what I found out next! He was their accounting representattive! He then refferrred me to another person who he said that was the owner and gave me a phone number. I called that number and he said that he was an associate and there is no owner, they are a corporation! Im still waiting on my check now. Its a monday and they said that the check will be ready friday and at the latest monday! I am so disappointed with them!!! please stay away\, this business is a scam and very very very fraudulent!

SHADY BUSINESS ALERT!!! SHADY BUSINESS ALERT!!!
My mom came into the store located off Mowry a few months ago with intentions of buying new hardwood for my condo but we would’ve never guessed that we would be feeling so ripped off now!!!
Everything was fine when we came in and we decided to pick out this beautiful Santos Mahogany. The total came out to be 2600.00 + 250 for tax and we signed the agreement around 4pm. At 5pm that same day, our Home Association for the condo called and let us know that we were unable to install hardwood floors on our condo because it was on the 3^rd floor, and before 6pm, we called Bay Area Flooring SuperStore to cancel the order but they told us, «Sorry, it was already on the next freight train to the Bay Area.» WTF?! it was only 2 hours ago!!!
So my mom, says ok we’ll take the 25% restocking fee as a loss and just refund the rest of the money to me. So. we waited, and waited, and waited. A month goes by and still no refund. So we called the main headquarters, which was in alameda, and they said the refund was on the way. Another month goes by, no refund. My mom actually drives to the headquarters and demands her money back. Finally the check arrives and they deducted 25% from the total AND THEY NEVER REFUNDED THE TAX! WTFFFF I’VE NEVER WORKED WITH A BUSINESS THAT DIDNT REFUND THE TAX AS WELL WHEN WE RETURNED SOMETHING! It was never stated in the contract that the refund would be without the tax and when we called Flooring Superstore, they refused to refund it back to us.
So my mom was only hoping to be down 650.00 (which is 25% of 2600) but instead, she lost what she paid on the tax too (which was 250).. 900 dollars total.
Shady people. Shady Business. Beware.
