Childers Heating & Cooling

If I could give this company zero stars I would do so. Recently David visited the house of my brother and while starting the job of repairing the heat issue he insulted my Sister in law with a derogatory comment about appearance and also comment that her kids (my nephews) needed to be in church. Upon learning this my brother asked for an apology and he said he would come back by the house and do so yet failed to return. His wife upon being contacted said he would also return but he never did. Horrible customer service from a supposed Christian company. Worst yet, he never fixed the issue.

Mr Childers and his awesome company has been servicing and installing Heating and air units for me, my clients (I’m in Real Estate) and my family for years. My Mom simply adores him. They are a good Christian Family and have for the past — gosh 15 years or more taken care of me and multiple clients of mine. I highly recommend them. Never a problem! His office always answers the phone for also — always willing to help! You go Mr. Childers! BEST AROUND! (pretty much the best priced also — that’s how we got hooked up with him to start with. He has great prices!!)

I’d like to share a story about something that happened to my wife today from a local business in hope that word will spread.
David Childers from Childers Heating and Air was at my house due to some heating problems we were experiencing. While in our hallway he noticed some pictures of my wife from high school. He asked «do you have a grown daughter?» Carly told him no, that the picture was her. He laughed and responded «Well, what happened to you?» She was shell shocked by the comment and only replied that 15 years and three kids had happened to her. He completed the work and left. Carly later called me at work and told me about the hurtful and inappropriate comment. I as any husband would be, was angered beyond belief. I immediately called the company and got to speak with the receptionist, who happens to be his wife. I explained what happened, how angry we were and that I expected Mr. Childers to come by and apologize for insulting my wife. I let her know that I would be home at 3:30 waiting on him. She feared for his safety and I assured her I wouldn’t hurt him, but that the wrong needed to be corrected. She told me he would be there as close to 3:30 as he could as he still had a job to finish up that afternoon.
Fast forward to 5:30 at my house and Mr. Childers has yet to show. I call the business line and get their voice-​mail. I text the contact number I had been provided to check on Mr. Chillers’ location and to ensure that he was still coming by. His wife responded to me that he would not be coming by. to apologize, that she was just too scared for his safety.
I wanted to share this so others in the community would know that at Childers Heating and Cooling honor and integrity are only tag lines they use on their website. The owner was too much of a coward to come and make amends for the hurtful things he said to my wife.
