So glad we stopped here while on our way back to Detroit from Cuyahoga Falls. This place is nestled within a nice neighborhood, and I liked that we saw locals riding bikes to visit the Valley Café for breakfast. I had the corned beef hash skillet with 2 eggs and toast, and my partner had the breakfast bowl with chorizo sausage, otatoes, and eggs. Breakfast was great, flavors were great, and portions were super large.

My first visit to the Valley café and it was fabulous! Outdoor patio tables and the inside tables were all full so we elected to sit at the breakfast bar. Our waiter, Michael, was so accommodating. My friend and I don’t eat carbs so he helped us order ala carte to keep us on our diet and still have a grand breakfast. Plenty of staff, quick service, and delicious special are awaiting you. Lots of coffee refills and a to go cup later and we were beaming ear to ear with our delightful dining experience. Ask for Michael’s section when you visit.

Grabbed a late breakfast here after biking 13 miles South from Red Lock Trail Head. Extremely friendly to bicyclers with a big rack out front, very friendly and easy going staff. Orders were taken via tablets and immediately transferred to kitchen. Nice and high tech for a mom-and-pop shop. What really mattered what the food! I got the classic number 2 breakfast, eggs, toast, meat, potatoes and was extremely impressed! I’m a breakfast potatoes fanatic, and these potatoes were 5* — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and super tasty. Eggs, toast and sausage patties were dreamy. Just what I needed to bike 13 miles back to Red Lock!!! Great work Valley Café! You guys rock!

First time here and it was good. I had the Shrimp over Grit Cakes. Service was good also, the two ladies that were working had great personalities. I will be back when I am in the area.

Best stop for breakfast in the valley. I’ve been comming here for years and am always impressed. The staff is super friendly and classy. Jenny has my coffee ready as soon as I walk in and Shelia gets my food to me pippin hot! Michael always stops by to ask how work is going. Jammie is on top of the coffee refills like a boss. The entire staff is amazing and deserves raises. My only complaint is that bj is being super stingy with the flock check ins. I can get free home fries… Woo. As a once a week regular I want more variety in the meals. 10 check ins for Amish bacon at the cost of regular.

I recently ate breakfast at Valley Café after being recommended it from a co-worker. Honestly, I don’t even know where to start. It was terrible. We sat almost elbow-to-elbow to the couple next to us. The décor was off-putting. The coffee was mediocre and the food was not satisfactory. What is going on with the sausage gravy?! It tasted as if there was sand in it. I tried to resign it to the fact maybe the flour was not incorporated into the roux very well but something was way off. Service was decent. Never going back.

The décor is outdated and tacky, and the seating is cramped. We were seated at a two-top against the railing with another couple directly on the other side. Not only were we forced to listen to that couple’s conversation, but we got to listen to them chewing. We were seated quickly, the drinks came out quickly, and our orders were placed in a fair amount of time. We both ordered the breakfast bowl which seems pretty difficult to mess up considering it’s just a bunch of breakfast ingredients mixed together, but you’d be mistaken. The sausage was some of the lowest quality sausage I’ve ever tasted. In fact, without exaggerating one bit, every bite of sausage was filled with the crunch of gristle, and it almost tasted like ground beef without any seasoning to try to make it taste like sausage. The cheese was nothing more than the cheapest, most disgusting shredded product that could be purchased. $ 24 for two of these disgusting breakfast bowls, a coffee, and a tea is unacceptable. I’m not even a cook by any means but can do better for a quarter of the price. And your service was abysmal. Your server openly complaining about a substandard tip she got was super trashy. Where was she to refill my coffee or my water? I didn’t get one refill or asked if I wanted one. But I did get to hear her talk about going to smoke a cigarette and the not returning. Gross. Terribly disappointed and will not return. Drive the extra few minutes up to Highland Square and go to Wally Waffle, Mustard Seed, The Eye Opener, or just stay home. The few extra minutes of drive time is worth dining in an environment where you’re served edible food by a server who actually pretends to care. I will not be back.

Great breakfast. I got the eggs benidict and my husband got the chocolate pancakes and bacon. Everything came out really fast and the wait staff was very nice. We saw a lot of people who had road there bikes here because it is right off the tow path. We will have to try that next time.

M– A 50s throw back clean but dated in décor. Not exciting not bad just there. I got the cornbeef hash. It carried a heavy coriander flavor which is good for lunch but not breakfast. The potatoes were full of grease which left the dish heavy. A little bit of fresh herb and some as acid could go a long way to make the dish pleasant. Had a try on sausage gravy it was not rich some brown rue may help add the missing layer of flavor. Server was not engaging but attentive. All in all it hit the spot but not a destination location. D — I had the best seller. 2 eggs over easy, sausage patties, home fried potatoes and rye toast for 6.99. If anything was seasoned during cooking time I couldn’t tell. Eggs were cooked more than over easy. Potatoes tasted raw to halfway cooked in spots and the sausage reminded me of those precooked patties one can buy at Sam’s.

Ever since moving to the Akron/Cuyahoga Falls area I have been searching for a good breakfast joint. This place is it! Fun 50s décor with 50s music playing(albeit a bit too loud for my taste on the patio). Convenient location in the valley with a patio for outside dining. Very dog friendly! The server made a plate of eggs for my pup and gave her unlimited water. Typical diner service(if you frequent a diner you know what I mean!) — but not as slow as some diners. It used to be an old bank, it appears like, so it’s an interesting ambiance but the plus side is they have a drive thru! I had the potatoes and corned beef(although I was bummed the had no sides of just corned beef hash), good coffee, and excellent crispy blueberry pancakes! Also if you’re biking or otherwise traversing the parkway it seemed this was the go-to spot. Overall I was very pleased and we will be back!

Service was pretty good. It was crazy busy but everyone was nice. Got corned beef hash and was so excited I was ready to eat the famous potatoes. corned beef was delicious. potatoes were mush not crispy at all i picked all the meat out couldn’t take it. Coffee good. although I wasn’t offered a to go like others were. Husband said pancakes were good. Sausage patties were big. I will go back get something different will have to ask for cripy potatoes :(

If you love breakfast and brunch, this is the place to go! The Valley Café is a small family owned restaurant that not only has inside seating but a nice patio as well. Service was quick and food was cooked just right. It is a small place so you may have to wait 5 – 10 minutes before getting a table. I will be going back.

Hands down the best breakfast joint in all of the greater akron and surrounding areas. I assure you that you have never had a better omelette. I am a huge breakfast go-er and I’d consider myself a bit of a toast snob and it’s never been burnt. Although I’ve never had lunch there, I’m sure it’s pretty awesome as well.

This is such a quaint, adorable little place. It’s tiny — and there will probably be a wait for you on a Sunday morning. This is best for small groups — under 4. They basically only have one table that seats more than that. There is a small amount of outside seating for the few months when it’s tolerable to sit outside in Akron. The food is delicious. Their home fries are so good — well seasoned, buttery, and crisp. Definitely my favorite part of the meal. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the bacon was crispy. I ordered some french toast as well(I was REALLY hungry and knew I wouldn’t be eating until I got home like 8 hours later because I was flying) and it was good — golden brown and yummy. Service was great. It’s great diner food, nothing too fancy. They keep it simple and good. Only sad part for me was I realllyyyy wanted that cinnamon roll pancake and it’s not available on weekends :(Looks like I’ll never get it as I’m rarely in Ohio, let alone on a weekday.

Overall, it seemed like a nice place. There wasn’t anything too special about it, but the service was quick and friendly. They serve breakfast and lunch all day which is nice because I’m not much of a breakfast person. I got the chicken salad sandwich and a side salad. Again, overall the food was good, but nothing out of this world or all that unique. If someone suggested going here I wouldn’t be opposed, but if I had a friend in from out of town and we wanted to get breakfast, I think there are a handful of places in Akron that would be a better experience.

I live right behind the place and have been there quite a few times now. I have sampled a bunch of things on the menu. My first impression was, wow, this place is tiny. Despite the smallness of it, I usually never care about that anyways, it turned out to be one of those great tiny places you love going too. I have mostly had breakfast food, because it’s my favorite. Dans barnyard is my favorite dish and I get it often. It’s so big it’s usually two meals for me! I also tried the Harvey and it was great as well. Their pancakes are also great, they are as big as your plate! I have never had cold coffee, bad food, or heard anyone arguing I believe those reviews are phony. The prices seen a bit expensive, but when you see the amount of food it doesn’t matter. Love valley café! Get their quick!

Very perky manager walked us through the offerings since we admitted we were first timers. Small space with dashing staff. loved the tablet order taking… do not see that often around here. Hash browns were cooked just right… but rather salty Salmon cakes were nice… hollandaise broke so the English muffin ended up soggy and mushy. They tried to keep up with the coffee service… but not always… but it was super packed… Overall a nice experience and we will come back
