Food is not close to authentic or tasty Mexican food. Ate there once and never returned. Try Tito’s — just a mile away. Better menu and ambience.

Probably the best Mexican me and my wife have ever had. Definitely will be coming back.

I usually compare all(American) Mexican restaurants to my local favorite(Si Señor in Seven Hills). I think Tres Potrillos compares favorably with my gold standard. The building is much larger and fancier, but the prices and menu offerings are comparable. Si Señor is probably a little cheaper because they always have coupons in the local circular. I’m not sure if Tres Potrillos does that. We had good service, and the food was good too. I recommend the camarones al ajillo — tons of huge shrimp. I’d say Tres Potrillos definitely has a leg up on the competition in the atmosphere category, but their salsa isn’t as good as Si Señor. All that being said, I know most people aren’t choosing between the two places since they’re not really near each other. Overall I’d say Tres Potrillos is better than most of the Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in Northeast Ohio, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to someone in this area.

Classic Mexican food in a convenient location — a local told me this is one of the best places around Medina for Mexican so go here if you’re in the mood. I ordered the avocado tacos and the pozole and they were delicious. Our pitcher of margaritas was a little weak at first, but they corrected this once we let them know. Patio outside and 2 sections inside(bar and dining room). Check this place out ahora! :)

Solid place for typical Americanized Mexican fare. In a really nice building. Very good service from a staff that obviously spoke more Spanish than English. Good chips and salsa. My wife had the street tacos, which were excellent. I had the carnitas tacos, which were also very good. Dessert was solid if unspectacular. On the less positive side, Table side guacamole was ok-not great. Nice fresh avocados but too much lime. Cadillac margaritas were not very good. All in all, positive experience. Good value. I’d go back.

Great food! Visiting Akron and looked on Unilocal for recommended places. Worried about the reviews on poor service, but the service was friendly. Our waiter had some good suggestions on what to order, though his English wasn’t perfect, he was very nice. We got the guac, was very fresh! I got the street tacos –sooo good, husband got Azteca Burrito and only ate half it was so big, he said it was flavorful. I would totally eat here again.

The tortillas are extra, but the bad service was free! If I could give this no stars I would. Not only was the food bland and flavorless, the owner was extremely rude. When we asked why we were charged one dollar per tortilla without being told they were extra when you order fajitas, the owner was horribly mean and told us it has always been this way(it has not). He told us not to come back and I am so sad this local restaurant which we would love to support doesn’t care about customer service. There have been several times we have frequented this establishment when the service has been horrible. We frequently have to get up to go find our servers hanging out in the kitchen. One time we came in to a busy restaurant with the lobby full of waiting customers. We put our name on the list and began the wait. Thirty minutes later no one had been sat and we saw tables clearing out and sitting there. When someone approached the hostess(on her phone) about the empty tables she told them she lost the paper with everyone’s names, but hadn’t bothered to do anything about it. She never apologized and instead asked the group, who was here first? If you want eh food and horrible service go here, you won’t be sorry. ;)
