I just didn’t like the fact that their Great Lakes Christmas Ale is 12.99 vs 11.99 literally every place else in the area. They do have an extensive of beers but I’m sure those are over priced as well. And their customer service sucks bad. The guy was irritated when I made the comment about it being more which made it awkward but I don’t really care because its true. Then another guy standing at the bar drinking a beer, who I assume works there as well, said it was because there are so many beer options there. Ok well raise the price on those which Im sure you have and leave Christmas Ale alone. It’s already high enough.

Great scot! Mother of beers! Jiminee gilikers radioactive man! This place is Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory but in beer form. Make sure you pinch yourself to make sure you haven’t died and gone to beer heaven. It took me 10 mins to pick a 6 pack due to the vast variety. Beer aficionados make sure you visit this place.

Great and friendly staff. Wide selection of beers. Chill environment to drink a few beers from across the world and eat some peanuts.

This is the best beer shop in the area. They have a little bit of everything and their employees are very knowledgeable. Bombers, single bottles, six packs, 12 packs and everything in between. Some wine in a small cellar and also there are some beers on tap that you can enjoy in a seating area outside. Much better than any grocery selection. Also they are open on Sunday’s at 11AM.

Good selection but their prices are a little high. Charged $ 13 for a 6-pack of GL Christmas Ale($ 12 everywhere else).

I have absolutely fallen in love. No, not with a girl, but with a store specializing in craft beers. While the name is a bit of a misnomer — Portage Lakes Brewing Company does not currently brew anything, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they start brewing beer — PLBC has the widest variety of beer in southern Summit County. Whether you are craving a tripel or an IPA, they carry brands you simply won’t find anywhere else. They even carry Hoppin’ Frog beers — yes, I know they’re an Akron brewery, but I can’t find their beers anywhere in town. They even have a drive-thru in case you’re in a hurry to get drunk. The guys who work here are all really chill and know way too much about beer. They’re the type of beer snobs you want to drink with: they’re smart about beer but they’re not holier-than-thou like some beer snobs can be. If you’re out on the Lakes, you need to go here for the experience.
