Maria’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina

Dinner with my daughters was not a pleasant experience. Both the restrooms and menus were dirty and «sticky» and I was already apprehensive about the food. The chips and salsa were very bland and we chose to not even eat them. The three of us had water– theirs had ice, mine didn’t. Unless I know it’s authentic, I usually order something ala carte. For some reason I ordered from the dinner menu and selected the chicken chimi. Inside of the chimi was shredded chicken and that’s all. Nothing flavored the chicken, no hint of any peppers or seasonings. I had a few bites and left the plate full. My daughters ordered different enchiladas. One ate the rice and half of the enchilada and the other ate half the beans and half of the enchilada. The «beef» enchilada had mole sauce, which was very weird, not like any mole sauce I have ever had. When the waitress delivered the bill, she asked if we wanted boxes and we declined. I really wanted to love this place because who doesn’t love Mexican?

Nice day spending with son and decided to check out Maria’s– chips nice and warm and delicious salsa. Can’t even beat the luncheon specials $ 5.50 and included beef enchilada and asked for double rice as not into beans and that wasn’t a problem. Son asked of they had steak tacos and waiter took care of that. Huge portions and woild def come back

Best enchiladas in the world! Always generous with the portions and always delicious! I’ve been eating here for the past 5 years and the only problem I’ve ever encountered was a one time only confused server. Otherwise they’re all wonderful and helpful. That quest though… Cheese crack. Seriously get it.
