Best sub place in Akron. Huge portions and tasty food. Not a place for health freaks though.

Above average sub place. My only negative was that I got a large Gyro and the amount of meat on it was asinine. Like no human being on Earth could take a bite out of that sandwich. There was apparently no reason to get bigger than a small(Like others have said). It was like putting so much cheese on a pizza you couldn’t grab the crust, or putting a full pound burger on a slider bun. Other than that, it was good. But come on Hanini’s that was insane.

Awesome, affordable, gigantic subs. For $ 6 I have 2 meals. It’s amazing. And I love that I can get as many vegetables as I want for no extra charge. One of Akron’s best kept secrets!

I used to eat here a lot back when my office was off of Tallmadge Avenue. Their sandwiches are enormous! I don’t think I ever picked up one of them and just ate it – always always used a fork. I always have skipped their subs, because as someone else mentioned they’re really no different from Subway. My favorite is the gyro salad. Protip: ask for your gyro sauce on the side. When you have them put it on the salad or the gyro, it’s always entirely too much.

I came here for lunch today expecting a unique growing restaurant chain with a unique sub. However, what I found was that it was nothing more than a glorified Subway. They serve gyros and other non-sub items, in case you’re hungry for Greek food. However, it’s obvious that the way the subs are prepared is almost exactly how Subway prepares theirs. With the exception of onions, the variety of sauces and vegetables one can order on any sub is exactly the same. Unfortunately, they don’t have breads such as Monterrey Cheddar, 9-Great Wheat, or rye: it’s only white and wheat. I will compliment them on the variety of meats that are available, though. Capicola, for instance, is hard to find at many places in Akron. The place, which is fairly new, seemed empty. I had a really hard time talking with the«sandwich artist» or whatever they’re called these days. Not that I’m retarded(I’m clearly not); he was just too quiet. Perhaps raising your voice a bit — or even moving the boombox away from where I placed my order — could help. With all the sub places littering Exchange Street and the surrounding side streets, it’s hard to find a favorite. Hanini came across today as a new name with a very familiar taste. The owner is a huge Yankees fan, and has Yankees memorabilia all over the wall. If you come here, be prepared to cringe.
