Planet Fitness – Airmont

It’s smaller than other planet fitness gyms, I go in the morning after working the graveyard shift… so it’s not crowded at all, plenty of treadmills, bikes, stepping and elliptical machines to choose from, there’s a 30 minute express workout area and a few incline benches and a couple of captains chairs, not too many machines, but it’s ok if you come during non-​peak hours (I have no idea how crowded this place actually gets, because I don’t go here early morning or after work hours) I like the basic easy to use life fitness treadmill, the massage chairs offer a sweet and intense leg massage, shower room is clean… and I like that I can go to any planet fitness in the United States with the $ 20 black card membership — and believe me I’ve been to different ones all down the east coast from NY to Miami and even to the ones in Los Angeles… just your basic gym, no fancy aerobics or yoga classes, and the Airmont location is not open 24/7…just so you don’t try to come here in the middle of the night… Go to Nanuet if you like late nights during the weekdays… What else? I guess that’s all for now… Come in and get your workout on!

Close to work ! Free parking. Gym is usually calm when I got at 5 compared to other clubs. Also a bit smaller but they have all the essentials !

Have to update. I quit for reasons unrelated to my experiences there. They screwed up my auto-​debit and charged me for the next month. I complained and was promised it would be resolved within 2 weeks. Guess what! Refund didn’t come. Had to call again and finally got my refund.

This is not a gym.
Pizza, tootsie rolls, and no intense exercising allowed. Planet Fitness is a joke and they should be ashamed of themselves. If you’re someone who needs a treadmill or elliptical to make it through the winter then this is a good option for the price. If you’re looking to lift or get in shape then stay away.
This particular location is very small but conveniently located to a lot of residential area.

Not in a heavy populated location so you don’t have problems with getting on a machine. Gets crowded the usual time at 5 but never gets to the point you can’t get on a machine and dies down about 7. Clean and updated working equipment.
