This is one of the nurseries I frequent every spring. Very friendly service. I can ask Sam how to combat certain garden pests organically and he will give me a home remedy that works. There are several children that work there who are very friendly, mannerable, and surprisingly knowledgeable about products and gardening. It’s good to see them doing something positive that they seem to enjoy. They have a good variety of things from seeds, to organic gardening supplies, to fruit trees, perennials and annuals. They even have koi for your pond. Although I don’t think they are for sale, chicken roam freely around the nursery. I would always hear them, but never knew they were actually on the grounds until I turned around one day and one was beside me. Gotta love it! Palmetto is not as big as, say, Cold Creek and therefore doesn’t have the variety that it does, but prices are lower, quality is good, and service is exceptional.
