I come here to visit my friend and very impressed by the security who’s always checking on our cars in visitor parking. The building has secured enterances which makes it feel safe. They have a tennis court, dog park, ping ping table, BBQ’s, cabana, and my favorite, the pool and jacuzzi. Not to mention there is ample visitor parking! It’s decorated very nice during Christmas, even around the pool area which makes it a fun experience to swim at night.

Pearl Two has it’s pros and cons. There is a nice recreation area with a hot tub, grilling area, ping pong table, tennis court, etc and the place is well maintained(grass is cut, property is clean of trash and brush). The security is great too. Guards patrol at night, you need a special key to access the building, cameras in parking garage and hallways. There are also well enforced«house rules» on the property as well that keeps order. Great place for retired folk. Many of the positives also have their downsides however and they really kill it for me. 1) The recreation area is great but if you don’t ever plan on using the public area, $ 50 still comes out of your electric bill each month to cover down on the properties electric expenses in running a hottub 24⁄7 and lighting the complex. 2) Day and night, the house rules are very strictly enforced. If your designated stall is floor 4 or 5 prepare to go 5mph all the way up and all the way down every day of your life. Go 10mph(which is still very slow) and you get a warning ticket, on second violation you get $ 25 fine, 3rd violation $ 75 fine. That goes for all violations of house rules. Some rules are just absurd. Do you have kids? «No horseplay, running, screaming or other boisterous conduct is allowed» in recreation areas. What kids are not noisy, energetic, and cheerful at a swimming pool? As I said before, the retired folk will have peace and quiet here. In the parking garage, you are not allowed to wash your car or do automotive repairs at your designated stall. Do you have a loud dog? «Any pet causing a nuisance or disturbance to any occupant of the project will be permanently removed promptly upon notice given by the Board of Directors or Managing Agent». 3) This place used to have very nice down to earth guards that were very forgiving with house rules but they were recently replaced with impersonal«hallway monitors» I like to call them. It’s really a shame the old local guards lost their jobs to some big agency. 4) Lastly there are some big annoyances with apartments themselves. The complex was built in 1975 and the apartments plumbing system in particular really reflects that. Will you have a modern high capacity washer? You may flood your sink. Does someone in an apartment vertical to you need water shut off to their apartment? Every apartment vertical to one another will lose water for those repair hours.

I like this place a lot. Big pool, jacuzzi, sauna, table tennis, dog walk and tennis court. It is an old building but they maintain really well. I know they vacuumed all hallways twice or three times a week. I’ve seen few roaches in three years living there but not like the building next door. The parking garage is secured most of times.(Sometimes people run over gate and break them. Security will watches then.) I remember, Jake the security guard caught auto the so, they have decent guards, I guess.
