Pacific Diamond

I had a custom half carat diamond necklace made by Laurie and her team. It came out beautiful and I love it. We sat down over three visits to get exactly what I wanted. She made several suggestions which led to the final product. Laurie is very knowledgeable about diamonds and jewelry and that helped me make the right decisions. They are a full service jewelry shop that can custom make any piece and do follow-​up service and cleaning. They even do watch repair and buy gold and estate jewelry. I just stopped by to get my ring and necklace cleaned and they sparkle like magic! And when I was there, I got a beautiful Pandora bracelet. Their selection is second to none!

I came here today to get my engagement ring cleaned. As I was waiting, I looked around and saw a beautiful ring for my hubby!!! Laurie chatted with us while my ring got cleaned and I looked around. She was awsome! Great personality!!! I ended up buying this ring that I fell in love with for the looks and the price! Laurie had a lot to do with it also. If she wasn’t so nice and down to earth, I may not have made this purchase. Because, let’s face it, no one wants to buy anything from someone with a bad attitude and a horrible personality! But she made us feel right at home! Thanks Laurie!!!

My sales person Laurie was extremely knowledgeable about diamonds and taught my husband and myself all about the ‘c’s. I was pleased with the selection and our choice of a two carat round I got to choose my setting and one of the most awesome thing about my ring was the hinged option because I have arthritis but Laurie was the most friendly and personable salesperson I’ve had help me in a long time and not just she wanted to sale me something since my purchase I’ve gone back to clean or have other things done. They took my old ring and made a pendant and my next request will be to reset my studs from gold to white gold. Wonderful delightful and I’m a customer for life. Five stars

Came here a few weeks ago to get my watch resized. I had called that day asking how much it would cost and was told it would only be $ 5. When I went in the lady who helped me got the job done but it seemed as if I was bothering her because she had to fix it (only) twice as it wouldn’t fit properly. Everyone else seemed friendly which is why I’m giving them 2 stars. She then charged me $ 15 but I wanted to get out of there already so I just paid the $ 15 and left.

It might not be fair to leave this review, since I didn’t end up making a purchase.
A few days ago, I stopped in and found a ring I liked. More importantly, the price was actually *under* budget. I think the saleswoman (Laurie?) knew that she had a sure sale, since I told her I’d be leaving the island on the 4^th.
Great, right? Well, it would’ve been great, had we ever gotten waited on. When I brought my fiancé back, we waited about half an hour for someone to help us, then finally left without being helped.
Lost sale, and the search continues.
(update: I did find and purchase the perfect ring a couple days later!)

I went into the Waimalu location with a group of friends today to purchase Pandora charms. Laurie and Danielle were warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped into the door. Laurie had helped us on several occasions and each time I’m amazed at how she treats each and every customer as a valued guest and family member.
She did not disappoint, if anything I was even more amazed at her ability to multi task while still providing for the needs of all of her customers. While we were there, she worked with a customer picking up an order, changed another customers watch battery and assisted another walk in client.
I’m saddened to hear about the other reviewers experience. It’s in stark contrast to my own and not what I observed of Laurie today. She and Danielle helped my friends and I select beautiful pieces that reflected our unique personalities while excusing themselves to care for the walk in clients. Not all of us made a purchase and yet each of us walked away feeling valued and cared for.
We love Pacific Diamond and are taken with Laurie and her staff. I can’t imagine meeting her and not falling in love with her joy, charm and warmth! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

There were only a few businesses in my life where I have felt beyond comfortable and welcome right from the beginning and this place was one of them :)
Laurie and Suzie were an absolute delight and I can’t wait to come back! These ladies were so professional, friendly and funny that my boyfriend and I stayed much longer than we though we would. We came in to get the batteries changed on two of his watches and were so surprised by how quickly everything was done (and at a great price!), but we also had a wonderful time at the store with these awesome ladies. You will not only get great service and be able to look at amazing watches and jewelry (we are talking some of the most beautiful diamonds I have ever seen in my life), but you will also enjoy great company because everyone at this store knows how to treat their customers and they go out of their way to make sure everyone has an amazing experience. Ladies, if you want to persuade your boyfriend to propose to you a little sooner, come to the Pacific Diamond Swiss Watch Exchange — Laurie will do your work for you! ‚)

It is with heartfelt gratitude that I write this review. Most people buy a diamond to start their lives, this story is different. It’s about how a diamond signifies the final solemn vow, «till death do us part.»
Three months after my mom’s terminal cancer diagnosis, we realized my mom would be taking a long journey soon. Too soon. Due to a dishonest jeweler, my mom was without her wedding ring, the symbol of 35 years of marriage. My dad’s wish was to put her dream ring on her finger. However, time was not on our side as she had little time left to live. We first met Laurie Tamai of Pacific Diamond on Saturday, June 13^th. Laurie was amazing. She was empathetic, caring, and devoted to helping make their dreams come true. As a widow herself, she understood the importance of this ring. She came in on her days off to meet with my mom who could only venture out on rare occasions. She understood when mom arrived in the store only to quickly go back to the car to head home due to her illness. She consoled my dad as he shed tears. She rang the bell for us at the Valley of the Temples.
On Friday, June 19^th, my mom finally decided on her specific diamond and custom setting but her request was not without its challenges. Laurie searched and found her diamond in Belgium. She also contacted Uneek, a jeweler in LA, to customize a ring for her. Uneek empathized with the situation and made it their first priority, expediting the custom ring, staying open past business hours to finalize the CAD drawing that had numerous iterations. I’m forever grateful to their dedication and hard work. It was then made and shipped in 4 days.
As for the diamond, it was due in on Friday but was held up at a California FedEx station. It wasn’t going to arrive till Monday which we feared may have been too late. Laurie called a FedEx manager who put the parcel on a flight to Honolulu, landing at 7:30pm on Saturday. Laurie’s friend, Brian, works for FedEx, and he personally retrieved the parcel. Laurie met him at FedEx and drove to the shop.
Laurie called jeweler, David Crisp, of 3D Designs, to come in and set the diamond. Laurie, David, my dad, and I, met at the store at 8:45 on Saturday evening. We watched David set the diamond in the ring, videotaping the process so we could share it with her.

Thank you Laurie, Brian, and David for helping to fulfill my mom’s dying wish and to help put a smile on my dad’s face during this most difficult time. I will always remember watching my dad put this ring on her finger and shedding true tears of love and most importantly, closure.
