Not having seen an oral surgeon for over 30 years I was somewhat initially concerned. Needing to have an infected & cracked molar removed ASAP, both my regular dentist and periodontist referred me to Dr. Lee. Very simple when I went for my appointment… as so very professional! My appointment was ‘on schedule’ and his staff was very helpful as soon as I walked in. Once Dr. Lee examined me… he was very thorough with his assessment and discussed several options with me, as well as the ‘side effects’. After I decided, he proceeded with the procedure and I was out in 30 minutes. Had a one week follow up and so far so good! Let’s just say that oral surgery has come a long way from 30 years ago :)

Our dentist recommended this oral surgeon to remove two Un-erupted wisdom teeth and and an incision to expose another molar for my son. So far, I think Dr. Cameron Lee is the best oral surgeon around! Because he: 1. carefully explains what to expect 2. Explains what he will do 3. Recommends when to do the procedure to minimize impact to personal life 4. Gives you an itemized estimate to include what each insurance will cover so you know your actual out of pocket expense. 5. Prescribes appropriate meds for preventing infection and minimizing pain 6. Explains the side effects of the meds and alternatives. Also, the office staff are super friendly and have a great sense of humor(useful when one is stressed about a surgery for yourself or loved one). In addition, the have a comfortable waiting room and validate parking for the extra convenient parking garage(directly attached to their building). Oh yeah… it only took him 30min to do everything! Needless to say, we will rely on Dr. Lee for all our oral surgeon needs!

I had an upper left wisdom tooth pulled a few years ago; no big deal. The upper right got sore and getting it out by a regular dentist was a big deal. So when my lower wisdom teeth started to hurt I asked Dr Lee if they should be taken care of and he affirmed yes, sooner than later. His office staff are helpful and professional as is he himself. And quick! Two teeth out in about 25 minutes. Gave lots of local and there was no discomfort. As I’m in my 60’s he warned me it could be rough as the bones harden up with age. I didn’t realize I should have had them out long ago. I know him professionally, for years, as I’m an RN. He occasionally removes teeth with the patient under general anesthesia. He’s the best!

No one likes the thought of a wisdom extraction, I know I don’t! I only got my two bottom ones out, and was very anxious waiting there. As I got situated, Dr. Lee was very nice and professional! He introduced himself and went over the process and any possible risks and why it’s necessary to pull these out sooner than later. He’s also considered about your schedule, because he doesn’t want you to be in pain while you’re doing errands during the week. Let me tell you, the procedure itself isn’t all that painful. It’s mainly the noise that kills me! And Dr. Lee is very attentive during the procedure. He tells you what he’ll be doing, the estimated time it’ll take before he’s done, and what noises you’ll hear or feelings that may come about. Overall he’s very caring and attentive :) He gives a prescription for pain killers and antibiotics. Also wants you to check back in a week to make sure your mouth is okay. P. S. Once the anesthetics wear off, be cautious! And I recommend trying to eat something before taking any pain meds. I took one pill and wanted to die from nausea, and couldn’t eat until the next day. But keep in mind, dr. Lee is very nice! He makes the process a little more bearable :)

Ohhh wisdom teeth… we have a love/hate relationship! I remember my teenage years(gosh they were SO long ago!) :(anywho… my dentist would always tell me that I should get my wisdom teeth out… and that they looked as if they’re growing crooked and could later be «impacted»… he stressed the fact that the bone is much softer when you’re a teenager and the older you get, the longer the recovery would be to have wisdom teeth removed. I would always bring home a referral to an oral surgeon, but Daddy would say«you’re fine, your teeth are fine» and that would be that. And then… I started getting headaches. Usually I get a headache every great once in a while… or when something is frustrating me or I’m super stressed out… damn you vasodilation! But the headaches kept coming… and coming… and my jaw started hurting, and hurting… and then I felt something protruding out of my gums(I know — YUCK!)… so I went to the dentist… and he told me my wisdom tooth(one) was impacted… AND infected(yay me… NOT!). So he gave me(another) referral to Dr. Cameron Lee. My mom went to Dr. Lee for her crown, and she absolutely LOVED him. She said he was very patient, kind, and gentle. I don’t know ANYONE who LOVES the dentist(if you do… yer weird!)… but I HATE the thought of needles in my mouth, drilling, cutting, etc… So I made my appointment. Let me prefix this by saying that I’ve seen Dr. Lee THREE times. Yes count em, THREE times. My first wisdom tooth(R lower) was impacted and infected. That’s one. My second wisdom tooth I took out before I went to Vegas as a precaution(L lower). That’s two. And my third wisdom tooth(R upper) was(again) impacted and infected. So me being a big baby and waiting to do em separately had THREE lovely visits over 2 years to Dr. Lee.(in case you’re wondering… I opted to take out both upper wisdoms at the same time [woohoo for man-ing up!] but he stated that my L upper wisdom tooth was too far up to reach and there would be too many issues etc etc and to leave it alone [whew])… Each time I went in, he did the same routine. Showed me my xrays, explained what was going on with my teeth, what he was going to do, how long it would take, what I would hear, and what to expect. He’s truly a wonderful, kind, and gentle surgeon. Each time(three) I only had local anesthetic… no gas, no general, just a nice big shot(or two) of novocaine. I was awake to hear everything lovely(kidding) sound and every crack(eek) that my tooth made. Seriously… each tooth took less than 5 minutes to come out. Explaining everything to you and then getting the shot of novocaine and waiting for it to kick in takes the longest! He’s absolutely fabulous! You get discharge instructions, gauze, and a «hook shaped squirter» to go home with… and you follow up with him in a week. He puts dissolvable stitches which is convenient. The first TWO times I didn’t have dental insurance… cost was a little over $ 500 with xrays. The third time I had dental so my co-pay was around $ 150. HEY… if your tooth is infected and you’re in pain… it’s worth the money!!! He does oral, maxillofacial, and implant reconstructive surgery. Located in Newtown Square in Aiea. Parking is validated for an hour I think. If you need an oral surgeon… GOTODR. CAMERONLEE… he’s the BEST!!! You won’t regret it!
