My sons have been students of Music School to Go for over a year. It’s such a convenient service — the teacher comes to you, no more driving through after school traffic and then sitting in a folding chair or at a Starbucks for an hour. And the prices are no more than traditional schools despite the extra service. But the best thing about MSTG is my sons’ teacher, Garrett. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he is both an incredibly versatile musician and an amazing teacher. He teaches one son the piano, the other bass and guitar. Reading music, fingering, music theory and songwriting — he manages it all, in a way that the boys don’t really consider«learning.» And always with encouragement and a smile, while still insisting they do the hard work and stay dedicated. My husband and I both had mean piano teachers as kids, who would only allow classical music. Jason, MSTG’s owner, has an intake conversation with parents to help find the best match for the students. He listened and on the first try delivered everything we asked for and more in Garrett. Having a large selection of teachers to choose from is unusual definitely a plus if Garrett hadn’t been such a perfect match.

My boyfriend(now fiancé) took lessons with Jason. I know he’s not the average kid in music school, but he was learning in order to surprise me, which he aptly did serenading me during his PROPOSAL! Very effective lessons.

In my first lesson alone, I learned more from Music School to Go’s staff than from previous instructors. Their energy and enthusiasm made for a really supportive environment where I learned extremely quickly. All the instruction paid off — my fiancée cried when I serenaded her at a local restaurant, right before I proposed. Thanks Music School To Go — you’ve made me the happiest man in the world!

My Daughter has been taking guitar lessons through Music School to Go for a little over a year now and it’s been a wonderful experience from the start. Her teacher is amazing and she’s made wonderful progress. I’ve recommended the school to family and friends and appreciate the dedication of her teacher and the school.

Music School to Go has been exceptional for my daughter Devon. she has been taking guitar lessons for 2 years from Elad. The service and training has been amazing. she has not only learned a great deal playing guitar, but also sight reading as well. she has progressed so well and loves it. she looks forward to her lesson every week ad the school itself is run so very well! So highly recommended!

My son has had lessons at Music School to Go for quite a while. They have always been accommodating, professional & my son has learned to love the guitar even more than he did when he started. We love these guys!

Jason has been teaching guitar to my son since 6 years now and I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. My son had picked up guitar at age 5 and had been playing basic tunes until age 10 when we started working with Jason. Since then, my son’s skills have consistently advanced. Of course growing up itself can be a factor, but i believe Jason’s ability to connect with the kids, persevere and bring out the best musicality in the kids have helped tremendously. Jason has taken my son through different music styles and I find him quite skillful and knowledgeable in his work. I am surprised to see the few negative comments which are focused on money and schedule. In my six years, I have never seen Jason unable or unwilling to accommodate my schedule change requests, and has been as punctual as can be expected with a teacher traveling from lesson to lesson(10 mins here or there). He has even helped my son via video-chat when he needed help in-between lessons(and not charging for that). I have recommended MSTG to many of my friends and I they too were more than satisfied with the services. I continue working with Jason and continue to recommend MSTG.

Company has a policy where if you fail to notify the instructor 24 hours before the lesson, you will be charged for the full lesson. There is no penalty however for last minute cancellations(or lateness) on the part of the instructor. Our instructor cancelled 6 lessons in the last 8 months within hours sometimes minutes of a lesson — we were understanding and although my children missed a movie with friends/an invitation for playdate/and for us, an opportunity to meet some last minute out of town guests for dinner — we accommodated and rescheduled each time. This last time, our instructor requested to change the time to an hour earlier however the children were still in camp at that time and as we just discovered the children wanted to put on an end of camp play, we requested we reschedule the lesson. Instead, no communication and a charge for $ 65 was placed on the bill. We explained the situation and were referred to the policy we had signed. Do not go with this company if you have children who have schedules that could change with less than a day’s notice. It’s best to go directly through an instructor if possible — this middle man business is disheartening. No common courtesy. Advice: exhaust all other options before signing on their dotted line.

Jason Sulkin is an extremely talented musician and a fabulous teacher. I definitely recommend his company if you are looking for a music teacher in the valley.

Always late for every lesson taught, mediocre lesson taught, charge TOP dollars for the lesson, try to collect for lessons that was not agreed upon and try to muscle you in paying for the fee. I would never ever recommend Jason Sulkin(Music School To Go) to anyone ever… very unprofessional and unethical.
