So I came here for the second time. First time was on Valentine’s Day. My girlfriend and I arrived at around 845 and they closed at 10, so I kinda felt bad for getting there a little late but they were still very welcoming. We sat down and there was live entertainment playing, this older couple singing classic songs which was very nice. We did the«best of prime» deal which was a 4 course meal. Very delicious! I had the New York strip and it was to die for. The smokey Mac n cheese is pretty amazing and so is the wedge salad! I’d highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice steak house with great service. Didn’t have room for dessert as we pretty much gorged ourselves on the entrée. The first time we came here was on Valentine’s Day and they were a little behind but this visit more than made up for it. The owner Jan is very nice and accommodating and the service was most excellent. Looking at their menu they have a nice happy hour as well.

This is a 5 star review that I really mean! This place is a gem. Awesome vibes. Great atmosphere and staff. I had the 4 course meal that I found a $ 10 off discount from Unilocal for my check in. The wedge salad was excellent and their pretzel bread was ridiculous. I look forward to my next visit.

My first experience here at Prime was a great one. The $ 12 mud pie was the best desert I’ve had anywhere else! The filet was smoking good and the wine was smooth. I will visit Prime again when I’m down here in the area. Great restaurant and first class staff.

UPDATE: Owner has reached out which says a lot about the business so I have changed the review to 2 stars. Came on Valentine’s Day 2016 with a reservation and was seated 15 – 20 min AFTER. I overheard the hostess tell some guests that they were 20 – 40 minutes behind. The service was extremely slow and they were not all that busy. I’ve been to places that have been busier on non holidays that have moved much quicker. It took 10 minutes for a waiter to finally notice us and when we finally ordered their 4 course meal I kid you not it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to receive our main entrée! We got each entrée about 10 – 15 min after finishing the last one. People who were seated after us received their steaks prior to me. I was not updated by my waiter and had to ask him. I also had to ask the staff 3 times for water and bread before they remembered to bring it out. I am usually very understanding but when a restaurant shows no effort or concern especially when you are paying $ 79 per person for an average steak, spending $ 180 total with drinks, you are going to have an upset customer. The food was okay but sadly they ruined my 9 year anniversary and Valentine’s Day due to their lack of service. Go to a place that is more inviting so that it doesn’t kill your mood. Not the best experience when you’re trying to have a romantic dinner and the manager/supervisor lady is micromanaging the bus boy and getting upset with him while he is trying to clear 5 tables at once as fast as he can. I’m very disappointed :(

Just came from a birthday party for my wife with 38 people. .visited Prime Steakhouse about month ago to eat and spoke with Jan about reserving big room. Jan was the best, she communicated with me during the time prior to the party and allowed us to work out the details. Jan welcomed us when we arrived and was just the best. The food was exceptional and the wait staff were cheerful, and extremely positive. We did not have to wait for any of our courses. I don’t know which was better, the food or the service. All of our guests spoke very highly about the environment, food, and service. We will definitely have many more parties at Prime.

I came to the restaurant for my third time. Service was great and the ceasers salad was perfect, the prime rib and mac and cheese were great but what was better was the service from Kyle and Kindra.

We decided to try something new so we took my husband here for his birthday. Our waiter Derrick was prompt in greeting us and took our drink orders. When he arrived back with our drinks he explained the menu and went over the specials, which all sounded yummy. We received our appetizers right away with the salad shortly after that. Then we waited and waited a little bit more for the main entrée. Derrick explained we were waiting on the Pork chop, which took a little longer to cook. Once all the food arrived to our table it looked and tasted great, all except the Pork Chop. It was a little dry and tuff, although it did have a wonderful flavor. Because of this, Derrick went and brought back a slice of Prime Rib, knowing that was her first choice, for her to try. Never had that happen before. Thanks Derrick. We ended our evening with a birthday dessert which my husband devoured. We will definitely be back with some friends next time.

Perfect. I came here with the family and we all all ordered their four course Prime Dinner. If you like trying different foods but don’t want to have to order a dozen different appetizers, that’s a great option. We were all able to mix and match, so I got to try several dishes including the Chili Rellenos, Tuna Tartare, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Stuffed Mushrooms, and a Wedge Salad. Each one was very unique. The tartare and the wedge salad stood out because the ingredients were so fresh. As for the entrée course, my dad and I upgraded the regular rib-eye to a larger cut for only a few dollars more. The steaks came out perfectly medium-rare and the seasoning was on point. Regarding the service, our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The courses came out just at the right time so we didn’t feel like we were rushing through each dish. We had time to enjoy each one and didn’t have to wait long for the first round. Overall, this a really enjoyable experience and it’s a steakhouse I’d suggest to anyone, especially for your special occasions.

Fantastic food with a beautiful ambiance at a reasonable price. Our server, Derek, was phenomenal. We will definitely be back!

Food was good. The reason I give this restaurant a low rating is due to the terrible management. The lady was not only dressed highly inappropriate for anyone of that position… but in more respectful terms she made us wait half an hour after our reservation time but then sat us at a table that had been available that entire time. In addition the lady/manager watched our table like a hawk and complained to our waiter when we opened our 2nd bottle of wine. So aside from the terrible, poor management skills, the waiters did what they could to make up for it and the food was good.

Went here today for Thanksgiving. Very happy to have found this place and would definitely come back(I live in San Diego now but I’m in the valley at least 1 weekend a month). Most nice restaurants open on Thanksgiving have 100% set menus(meaning things aside from meat are made in advance). I tried around 3 other different places(The Smokehouse, The Odyssey, and Castaway) and none were willing to serve 1 baked potato a la carte(I know that’s an odd request but my family member flat out will not eat any meat unless there is a baked potato served with it) except for Prime. Thanks Jan for helping us with this request! Their fixed menu overall was fairly good and reasonably priced. For $ 49 a person we each got a 10 ounce filet mignon or a NY strip steak(the filet was cooked excellent and tasted great), a fairly large side salad(green salad with fruit… good), an appetizer(we got the avocado rolls and spinach won tons all good), and then 4 family style sides(garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, chutney something, and creamed spinach). The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think the fixed menu could be improved. I felt like the appetizer should have just been the salad, and that they should have done dessert instead of the appetizer(it’s weird to me to not have a slice of pie on Thanksgiving). Also they have a lot of pork flavors in what was listed(I think 2 appetizers you could choose from had it, and the stuffing had sausage as well as 1 more thing I believed). Just thought for a fairly large Jewish area that there wouldn’t be such a large pork presence(we don’t eat bacon or sausage or anything with pork). In any case, we still left well fed and had leftovers =) Nice, dark ambiance. Would be a nice date place(for that one day when my single ass actually gets a date!). Service was excellent as well. Again despite this place being a 25 minute drive from my parents’ house, I would easily return. Overall great first impression and wonderful experience.

Great food and service. The Taste of Prime menu is the way to go! They need to use outdoor seating more, especially on warm nights!

Went to Prime Steakhouse with a group of 8 co-workers for dinner on a Tuesday night around 7:30. We were seated immediately and the server was around to ask our drink order soon after. We all went with the 4 course specials. Ordered the Tuna Tartar, Caesar Salad, Brussels Sprouts and Bone in Rib Eye. For dessert I ordered the Crème Brûlée. The Brussels Sprouts were terrible but everything else was decent. Nothing to rave about. Possibly would return.

Had a lovely prime dinner for $ 29 with my husband. Between the two of us we ordered: Tuna tartare Spinach wontons Caprese Wedge salad Prime rib Smoked 6 cheese Mac n cheese Garlic mash All were delicious, the spinach won tons were a little spicy but I’m allergic to shrimp and shellfish so I didn’t have much option other than that(not a chile relleno fan). I stole a bite of husbands tuna and it was really yummy! Our waiter was nice and laid back, and though the restaurant was nearly empty(Monday close to 8) it was quite romantic. Would love to come back and try some goodies from the bar. Beautiful ambiance.

Update to my review for you Unilocalers… I was contacted privately by the manager after I posted this detailed review. No where did she apologize for the service we received but instead she proceeded to accuse us of trying to not pay the bill! Wow. Then she goes on to say please come back to this place and that my review was silly so I need to remove it off Unilocal! As I stated in my original review, we will NEVER be returning to this place ever again. Another two thumbs down on the follow up for dissatisfied customers

Great place for a small bite or a huge four course meal. When I say huge for about $ 30 bucks you get a great appetizer, Salad(BEST Caesar salad I’ve ever had), Main course(not just steaks many choices) and a side order. I always get 3 meals out of it. I’m not a wine person but drink wine at the full bar because they found one I really like. Best part is the staff and owner they are always so friendly. Both locations have never let me down. Pro Tip– go the night they have a Frank Sinatra impersonator, the guy is so good the 1st time I heard him I thought it was a jukebox. Pro Tip 2– Check in here on Unilocal and you get $ 10 off each four course meal.

So as much as I love King’s in Calabasas, it no longer feels like a special occassion to go, so I asked friends for a good birthday dinner recommendation and ended up at Prime! They offer a four course meal for $ 39 per person(which we got a $ 10pp discount for checking in on Unilocal) that includes an appetizer, salad, and side. We had many options to choose from off the normal menu plus they offered daily specials. I loved the bacon wrapped scallops and baby greens salad! My salmon had a rub on it that was a bit too spicy for me but they made me another plain salmon which was good for lunch the next day. I also love the mac and cheese. Yum! The rest of my party loved their apps(chile rellano, tuna tar tar), salads(wedge, caesar, baby greens), entrees(prime rib and rib eye), and sides(scalloped potatoes and brussel sprouts) too! With the exception of my 26 year old brother, we all had plenty of leftovers! I can’t wait to go back for happy hour and to see the Sinatra singer on a Thursday. Great new find!

Great place in Agoura hills. They specialized in steaks. I believe the best deal is the best of prime offer they have offer with a check-in on Unilocal. You have the option to choose a four course meal at a discounted price. I believe it was $ 30 – 40. I ordered the tuna tartare, I asked my waitress if i could omit the wasabi or get it on the side. It was like she knew what i was thinking & reassured me that it would not be too hot. She was right! It had a great fresh taste with avocado and sesame seeds. I originally as well as 3 others in my group had ordered the Australian lamb, which not until the first course came out, we were notified they were completed out. No biggie, but perhaps if i ever come again I will call ahead of time to make sure they have the lamb. Second course: side salad: Caesar, basic but good. Thrid and fourth courses: I went with the recommendation of our waitress. I had the New York Steak in mushrooms, medium rare and really juicy. A side of baked mac n cheese. Be careful the plates are hot! Drinks they have a huge selection of wine… so for all of ya’ll vino lovers, can i get an Amen??? Lol!!! I had a chardonnay and a Pomegranate Martini which were both playful and perfect not to strong either. Desert menu: I had the pumpkin cheese cake. We were told it is seasonal and pure yumminess in my mouth. The atmosphere was mostly older couples and groups but a really nice place togo to on a date. it is dark and romantic. Best day is on a thursday night when the Frank Sinatra cover artist is there. My favorite moment of the Evening: ANOLDERCOUPLEDANCINGTOWHAT A WONDERFULWORLD
