I think this place has pretty good fish and chips, with a crispy beer batter that actually sticks to the fish. As an Irish themed pub, it’s fitting that they know how to do it right. The batter uses a darker beer, and consequently the fish comes out quite dark in color. You get three pieces of fish and an order. The fries on the side are okay, but just okay. I’ve never tried the onion rings, but now I want to since they come highly recommended on Unilocal. Service here is okay, but you may wait more than you’d prefer to for simple things like the check, refills, etc, since the place can get quite busy. The times I’ve been there the place was pretty full of customers, and it seemed like another waitress on call would’ve been a good idea. But, the waitresses are really nice, nevertheless. It’s a bar, so it’s dark inside. DON’T get the spinach and artichoke dip. It’s not very good.

June 2011; not sure what is going on at this restaurant, but lunch now sucks! My office mates and I have been here often, but the last three visists had no bread, most items on menu was not available and orders came out all F’d up. I’m not typically a complainer, but what the heck. Are you guys out of money, going out of business? Clean up your act and we will come back. Until then, we will go somewhere else.

I stayed at the nearby hotel and Pikey’s seemed like the logical spot to grab a beer and some food. Also, the Bulls and Heat were playing… all the more reason to go out and have some drinks. I arrived during Happy Hour… and there were some great food and drink specials. The only problem is that most of the food and drink wasn’t available. The following items were not being served(despite being on the menu): –Coors Light –Stella Artois –Two kinds of Sheperd’s Pie –Bacon –Nachos And the list goes on and on, but I blocked most of them from my memory due to the overall trauma from this experience. Don’t have a special Happy Hour menu if you can’t even serve the items that you are offering.

Pretty cool laid back place. The only difference between this pub and another dive bar or pub in any other town is perhaps the clientele. They were well heeled and perhaps significantly higher net worth given the location. The bar tender was liberal in his pours of Scotch which is always nice. Was a little thrown off by the guy who was yelling into a mike when I entered. Turned out they were having trivia night which cool. Ran into an idiot who was way too obnoxious and loud and gave me the«you looking at me» line. He went away when I just stared blankly at me and gave him my «I am crazier than you» look. ;-) The waitresses here reminded me of Seinfeld Episode #63. Look it up, it’s funny. ;-)

Went there tonight for St. Patrick’s Day. I was skeptical but all my buddies wanted to go here instead of our favorite St. Patrick’s Day spot in L.A. This is a decent bar/nightclub and I wouldn’t mind going again on any day BUT March 17th. Our waitress was very cool… good selection of beer on tap… very good onion rings. My friends said the burgers and sandwiches were good as well. But I was disappointed to find that the only thing Irish about this place is the name. Oh. and they serve Smithwick’s and Harp and Guiness. Why do people open«Irish pubs» that don’t have a damn thing to do with Ireland? I knew this place was a bunch of BS when I look at the«Traditional Irish Fare» part of the menu and see things like sauerkraut and garlic mashed mashed potatoes… and shepherds pie made with beef instead of lamb. And ok… corned beef and cabbage isn’t traditional irish food either but i’ll let that one go. No Irish bands… just a DJ playing hip hop and too much Guns n’ Roses. Oh. and no real irish joint serves green beer. Sorry.

Good food, but the service was extremely slooowwww and they change(increase) the prices on the menu for UFC fight night! Thumbs down.

My friends and I used to come here about twice a week but recently I’ve found that the bartenders hold grudges and are highly judgemental in deciding who they serve. Apart from the petty service, this place is alright. It’s become infested with kids with fake I.D.s and is absurdly packed. It CAN be a fun place to go but lately it’s been a shot in the dark.

Better than average pub food — Three of us shared and were completely full with: * Pikeys«Guinness Battered» Onion Rings — stack of rings for your dipping pleasure * Ahi Tuna Tartar — delicious, fresh and enough to share * Chopped Salad(w Greens, Eggplant, Zucchini, Tri-Colored Peppers, Tomatoes, Yellow Squash and Avocado Topped with Onion Straw) — fresh, giant portion and tasty
Enjoyed Smithwicks and Newcastle on tap Have not experienced the price gouging told by others.

Just recently found this place, it’s right off the Freeway but tucked in behind some other businesses so not easily seen. Great food I have eaten both lunch and dinner it was great and reasonably priced. Think of Pub grub but prepared by a more than competent chef food is way above average for a pub and sports bar. It has a well stocked bar, lots of big screens for sports, dedicated darts area with real dart boards not the drop a quarter in the slot variety, spacious dinning area that during normal restaurant hours is kid friendly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Finally another decent place in Agoura! Two thumbs up!

I think that it’s important to review a venue on the curve, and as far as places to stop during a group ride to wet your whistle and fill your tank, Pikey’s offers both well above the curve. I’ve been to many«biker bars,» and Pikey’s is one of the best. They have a great selection of brews. I highly recommend the Smithwick’s «Irish» Ale and the Pikey’s Blonde. Both were delicious and more than fullfilled the function of satisfying my thirst. The food is also well above average for an establishment of this sort. Although on this visit I only had the ahi tuna tartar due to the fact that I’m on a serious push to lower my body fat percentage, that dish was delish, with a perfect mix of ahi, avocado, and capers. In the past I have tried the fish n’ chips, Irish chips, and spinach and artichoke dip. All were yummy. It was a bit difficult for me to eat my healthy dish while observing my fellow bikers enjoying their burgers and club sandwiches, all of which looked incredible, and received rave compliments from their consumers. Maybe next time.

I heard about this place through a friend so I decided to give it a try. My boyfriend and I show up about 2 – 3 months ago, We buy a few drinks, when we go to close off the tab, the bartender gave me the wrong change(shorts me like ten bucks). Okay, I understand, things get hectic, she was a little rude about it when I told her she gave me the wrong change, but I let it go. So the next time we decide to give it another try because, hey, it’s walking distance from my house, and why not give the place another try? right? no. See, my boyfriend and I are poor college students, we loooove happy hour, and we looked at the website before we left and it said«Friday Night happy hour lasts from 2−10pm». Awesome. We get there around 9 hoping to catch the last of the happy hour. We walk in, get to the bartender and ask what the happy hour drink specials are. He tells us happy hour is from 10pm-close. Really? I pull out my fancy little iPhone and show him exactly where on the website it specified the hours. Nope, didn’t care. My boyfriend speaks with the manager, who is absolutely rude and pompous and thinks he’s running the most in-demand night club on this side of the country. Fine, we order a few drinks, the bill comes at the end of the night and we were charged $ 18 for a maitai! This place gets business because it’s one of the few bars in the Agoura hills area, and let me tell you, I live about 3 minutes away(by foot) and you won’t see me going there ever again. Oh, and as for the inside, It’s a nice place, the decorations are new, it’s pretty cute, there are flat screens and sometimes there’s a live band there, cheesy but could be cute. For a bar, I would call it aesthetically pleasing. I would reccomend a drastic attitude change of management, I’m pretty sure no one wants to give their money to people like that.

I love Pikey’s. Here’s why. Pros Drinks: Well stocked bar. Drinks aren’t very expensive. I can get two beers for $ 7. Cons: The ratio is pretty bad sometimes. There’s about 3 guys to every girl, which means I have to work a little bit harder than normal. Sometimes, it can be pretty crowded too. Weekends are really crowded, but it’s still a lot of fun. Overall, great place to go and meet up with friends. Fun crowd, and good times.

3 ½ Stars Pikey’s is a good place to watch a game(or UFC fight if you are into it) or enjoy some drinks and food. The menu provides enough variety for everyone and the food is satisfying. They have a nice variety on tap for the beer lovers and an ok selection of Irish whiskey. All the servers are attractive and scantily clad for the horn dogs out there. I have been a few times and haven’t been disappointed yet. Kids are allowed, but not necessarily the best environment for them.

This place looks like a knockoff of the Tilted Kilt. Cute waitresses in kilts and low cut tops. TV’s are good and ample. Has a nice feel even though it is in a kind of dumpy stripmall. Food was okay, service was decent. Prices were decent as well. Décor was nice. I would come back, but I wouldn’t live at this place.

First of all. I was very surprised it how nice this place is inside — and big too. I came in expecting the usual crusty wannabe cool bar with equally fake people, but not so. Clean, hip and classy. There was a nice mix of well dressed patrons. The doormen were professional and also weren’t the type that take their job more serious than they should. Now for the bummer part. The drinks: I bar-tend professionally, but I definitely know my drinks. Our group ordered: a Knob Creek sour, a Makers sour, a dirty Grey Goose martini, a gin gimlet and, a sidecar.(Whiskey, vodka, gin and cognac respectively) These drinks are standard bar drinks and together gave an accurate overall read of the bar. We were all VERY disappointed. After our first taste, we all had the same look on our faces; ‘is there anything in this?’ I tasted them all and can say with certainty, the bartenders either used half of the standard alcohol content or these drinks have been intentionally watered down — and its not from the ice. With that said, if we do come back, we’ll be sticking to the beer. I’m also curious to try the food.

Finally a decent place in Agoura to get food and slosh back a few pints… err. Okay, so this location hasn’t had much luck in past years, but Pikey’s has the right idea to stick around. The food is alright, nothing I’d write home about, but they serve more«traditional» Irish fare, so my boyfriend and I(who are both part Irish) like going for the Shepherd’s Pie. A drawback for me: they have«the game» playing all the time, whether it’s the Lakers or UFC and I just hateeee hearing the crowd roar when I’m in the middle of a conversation. However, if you want somewhere fun to go close to home and you live in the Conejo valley, this is your spot. You won’t find me there a lot though. I won’t get into the demographic…

Nothing about this place will blow you away. Nice to have a new happy hour option in Agoura. The couch area is a great place to catch the game and catch up with friends. Servers are great and as an added bonus, most of them are pretty darn cute and they all wear knee socks and short kilts! Food is nothing to write home about, and they are still figuring out how to staff this place. Every time we’ve been they are short staffed and stressed out.

Went for lunch with wife. Good looking sports bar in an unassuming strip mall. Not busy, would have been surprised if it was. Lots of flat screens. Had a PIkeys Pale draft. Nice beer, light but still had a full bodied taste. Stuck to appetizers/small plates. We shared the — trio of shepherds pies — very tasty, meats and mashed potatoes puts a smile on your stomach. — spinach and artichoke dip with crostini — bread tasted stale/chewy, surrounded by green tortilla chips. Dip was okay, not memorable — chicken skewers with mustard sauce. Sauce was too thin and not flavorful enough, chicken prepared well. NIce to have a place like this in the neighborhood. I’d come back again to watch the Jets, have a beer and get a burger.

We went here tonight for the first time for happy hour which was around 5. Although it seems like happy hour is all the time every day! This area definitely needed a place like this. It not only goes off at night, but also during the day. Early evening. We were here for a few hours and it was beyond packed when we left. It gets a little too busy in here for the girls who works it, but overall it’s a fun place to be and everything is good so far :)
