Mark Your Local Handyman

We just moved to town and were desperate for a handyman to put up pictures, adjust some curtain rods, etc. (I can honestly say I have never seen someone care so much about hanging a painting in my life!) Armando took extra care with everything he did and even solved a plumbing problem before he left. We can’t recommend him enough and look forward to using him again.

unresponsive, impossible to get a hold of, won’t return calls or emails. 5 weeks later, still flaking out on me. move on to to someone better. There’s a million handymen out there.

Based on all the favorable Unilocal reviews, I hired Mark and his crew for home repairs and repainting. (Thank you Unilocal reviewers; you were on point!)
Specifically, Mark’s guys removed wallpaper and repainted a bedroom, removed and replaced two toilets, and did some minor drywall repairs. They really did a great job!
Also, they were on time and the estimated time for work completion was pretty accurate. It is also obvious that Mark takes tremendous pride in his (and his crew’s) work product. He and his guys were always asking if I was happy with their work and if there was anything amiss that they could fix/​improve. (Many construction/​handymen aren’t quite so caring about their customer’s opinions.)
In addition, I had a kitchen chair that was broken. Before I was ready to give it the old heave-​ho into the dumpster, I asked Mark to give a go at fixing it. Lo and behold, he worked his magic and a lovely chair was spared a fate of languishing in a dump!
A note: While Armando was beyond great, Mark’s other guy wasn’t quite Armando’s caliber. He wasn’t tidy (did not vacuum work or adequately cover areas he painted). Despite this, I gave them 4 stars because their wonderful attitude and the great job they did on my house MORE than made up for the little shortcoming.

Mark’s crew just finished a few small jobs — they were a pleasure to have in my home; polite, fast and they explained everything they were doing. I highly recommend this business.

Mark and his team are top-​notch! I’m extremely picky and exacting and this team meets my expectations every time.
I’ve had Mark do a lot of work for me (including painting, installing furniture/​dry wall, and removing fixtures) and he always does an excellent job. His team are very friendly and go above and beyond (they even removed the fluorescent light covers so I could clean them as they were painting the ceilings!). They’re great about communication and you NEVER get left with an unfinished project (like SO many contractors out there).

Mark is great! He has done several jobs for us over the last two years (bathroom & kitchen sink repair/​replacing faucets, replacing bad electrical outlets, and various other things. He even fixed our EV (electric vehicle) charger. No job is too big or too small.
Mark is extremely professional and does top of the line work. He gives estimates, explains what he’s doing, cleans up everything when he’s done, and has very reasonable prices. His assistant Armando is great as well.
We are very happy to have such a talented all around handyman/​construction guy doing work for us! A 5 star guy that we highly recommend!
