This used to be my go to hookah spot but lately with all the hype around it the quality has gone down. I rated it 3 stars because it still has a really nice hookah selection and because of the hip hop/top 40 music played! The thing that grinds my gears the most is that if you don’t have a reservation then you have to wait an hour+ just to be seated. What confuses me is if I had a reservation I wouldn’t have to wait? So there is still room so why am I waiting for so long. Over all the staff is pretty nice but the wait time is just annoying. Like the other reviews say definitely get ready to be charged. It’s 5 dollars to get in and 5 dollars for each person drinking. Now I’ve never been charged the extra 5 for me bringing my own liquor but I’m sure it could be annoying. I’m not sure if I’ll give this spot another try. I want to try out some more hookah spots!

We arrived around 8pm last Saturday. They were having a private party and didn’t even greet us at the door. They looked at us as if we were in the wrong place. We were told due to the lack of space(we saw vacant spots) it would be $ 5.00 per person. We immediately the building. They were rude and discourteous. I don’t plan on visiting anytime soon.

What a crappy way to end a great night. I wish we never walked in. Get your cash ready because they will charge you out the wazoo. $ 5BYOB charge which wasn’t even on the door and had to pay even if you aren’t drinking. $ 40 for reservation fee to a place that was more than half empty. Had to talk to the manager to get bs charges off and it was still overpriced. Just stay away, you’ve been warned.

My first Hookah bar experience, so forgive my ignorance as I keep writing. We had dinner next door at the Ramen place(awesome, btw!!), and I had wanted to try Hookah. On the outside, this place looked pretty cool, so we went in. The first thing was that, as we walked in we were charged $ 5 per person cover charge. The people I was with have been to many, many hookah bars, an this was the FIRST time they have ever encountered a cover charge. On top of that, they guy getting to cover charged seemed like a bouncer. Where are we??? As we walked in, the place looked really seedy. As I looked at the furniture inside, the impression I got was that someone spent a weekend driving around finding sofas and tables people had left on their sidewalks the be picked up. It was dirty and dingy. But hey, we’re committed, right? So we sit down, and are told that it is 2 people per hookah(there were four of us), and each additional person would be something like $ 10. WHY? The people with us said they had NEVER encountered this only, and this was a total rip off, on top of the fact that the prices were already VERY high. Anyway, we got 2 hookahs. As we are in there, people are arriving, and we see this stage, the DJ, some women dressed like strippers, and we all started to wonder if we were in a hookah bar that doubled as a strip club. Seriously. We thought it was about to happen. Next, more people arrive, and it getting sketchier by the minute, and some people start arguing at the door, and we’re getting pretty uncomfortable until we just left. Really bad vibe going on. The whole time we were there, the people with us that frequented hookah bars begged us not to judge hookah bars in any way by this one. That throughout the country, they had never been in one so sketchy, and so expensive.

I went there yesterday for a chill evening. The place is nice and they even had a live dj playing. Sheesha was decent but extravagantly priced. And they use magic coal which is really pissy looking at their charges. Servers were sweet and the overall experience was OK!

I have been to this place about 5 times now and will continue going back. They have BYOB but they charge for a cup and ice which is understandable. They always have a DJ on the weekends who plays the BEST music if you like rap/hip-hop. He should be in a club his music is so good. They are pretty good on service, you usually have to ask for coals but they come right out with them.

The hookah is decent. Good music and ambience. But, the service is poor. There are a couple of waitresses for the lounge and they’re are not able to keep up with everyone. Severely short staffed. After ordering hookah and water, the water took more than 15 mins to come after repeated requests. And, same goes with coal when the Hookah became harsh. It took them another 15 mins to refill the coal. Pathetic service.

Pros: Great music, good hookah. BYOB Cons: Everything else. The staff is ok. They do refill the hookahs frequently. The crowd is not for me. I’m over 30 so I like an older crowd that’s more sophisticated. It was kind of hood. And back in my 20s, I wouldn’t mind hood as much but now I’d prefer to stay away from ghetto. I would prefer to find a nicer hookah spot next time. Too bad cause the music is good.

Ok… So I have been to this place twice. The first time I went on a Friday and I had to wait for an hour to get seated. Once we were seated we had a good time. Which made me tell co workers and we attended on a Saturday. Let me not forget to mention we called a few days ahead and booked a table and was charged 40.00. On the Saturday me and my co wokers went we arrived about 20 minutes after our reservation. When we gave the name that the table was in they told us that they had given our table away. The reasons were someone came and said they did not want the table anymore and then the mgt said we arrived late. Ok fine there are several hookah bars in dallas we will just go another place… Right… Well the mgt told us we could not have our 40.00 back for the table… Big issue… I am not sure of why they have this policy of a no refund after the table has been given away. I am sure if someone arrived and said no we don’t want the table they would have ask for the money back then… That was a lie… The mgt said he could work something out for us… We waited about 45 minutes to be seated for a table that was already reserved for us… Ok we had a good time after this. Then when the ticket was brought out we were surprised to find out the 40.00 was only to hold the table. it did not go towards the bill or cover a hookah… So we paid 40.00 to rsvp a table that was given away and paid full price for our bill… This place is ok a little rachet at times but the service could be better… They should put some kind of policy in place… OR have the person taking reservation explain your polices.

Discrimination. I will never spend another dollar at this place. Pure trash. Al Amir has more options AND they serve alcohol. We were overcharged on our bill(waitress fixed it), the owner made a request for us to not dance when they played upbeat music, and they asked the dj to change the music when we were enjoying it. Unreal. It’s 2014. Do not waste your money, or time, at this crap hole. We spent 200 bucks to be treated like filth. I’m so disheartened.

This place is great. I called to get directions, and the owner came outside while talking to me on the phone to make sure I found it easily. I was the first customer to come in today, and he greeted me warmly in his Kurdish accent before taking my order of coffee(they just have regular, not Turkish coffee, but it’s good with cream and sugar), a chicken kebab sandwich, and — most importantly — a fruity hookah blend. It was Happy Hour, so he blended three flavors together for me at a discounted price, and it was gooood. I don’t know or care what he put in it, but after I said I liked fruity and sweet, he came up with a perfect blend for me. He also gave me a free refill on my coffee, which I don’t know if they normally do or not. My waitress Bree was very personable and changed the coals at the right times. Great experience! Oh, the chicken was a teeny bit dry, but it was still yummy.

The atmosphere is vibrant and fresh with bright neon lighting welcoming you at the door. The best way to imagine it is to picture a marriage between a hot new dance club and a chill hookah bar. It’s an unlikely combo that somehow works and offers the best of both worlds. Despite the majorly cool and unique vibe, the customer service is terrible. The place is BYOB and you have to beg for attention to get a glass, opener, place a food order and most importantly to tend to our hookah. Our hookah went out multiple times and we had to get up and track our waitress down to change the coals nearly every time. I understand it was a busy night, but the other reviews echo my sentiments on service as well. On the Saturday we went it was a busy night, but we had a large group(and were sitting next to the company of Ladainian Tomlinson/LT) so the lack of even basic acknowledgement was quite surprising. In any case, the place had GREAT music and was the perfect combination of energetic fun and relaxation. I can’t wait to go back. If Xsheesha can improve its service, it will do just fine in the area. P. S. It’s a surprisingly intimate space, and it fills up quickly. My tip? Call ahead and make reservations so you and your group will have a place to sit beforehand.

I checked out the reviews for this place before I attended a birthday party. Didn’t have to deal with the reservations and such. Had a very pleasant time. Staff was super nice, supportive, and friendly. Never had to ask for them to give us another coal. Hookah was lit into the wee night. I like this place. Would come again.

A buddy of mine was DJing here so we came for some support and to check this place out. Décor is nice. It was kinda slow when we got there so we got seated right away. Its BYOB, but they do charge you for the set up(glasses etc.) Hookah is reasonably priced. They had a belly dancer, but the people that were there at the time was not really feeling it. I thought she did a good job though. Although this place is put together nicely, somehow I get the feeling this place is just being run as is with not much effort being put into it. If you have a large group, want to just hang out, chit chat and smoke some hookah, this is the place for you. If you’re expecting more than that experience, you may not like it.

Overall, a really fun place for the weekends. Music is loud which made it hard to hear friends but the atmosphere makes up for it. Our waitress was super nice and everyone looked liked they were having a good time, dancing and puffing their hookah. Check it out if you’re in the Addison area.
