Ok, so the service isn’t so great, but listen it’s not terrible either, we were in on a Saturday afternoon around 4 so there was only one girl for the whole place, and she was really nice. BUTTHEPIZZA. I’ve had Chicago style pizza in Chicago and this was better. Really was. Tremendous! Just stop looking for pizza places and get yourself over there! Do it now.

Having been to Chicago and having their famous deep dish my expectations were not high coming here. They really shattered my expectations. I think they have the best pizza in town. The thickness, flavor, sauce were all 5, the crust however could be better, I’ll give that a 4. I’ll be back to try more pizza tastes.

OMG!!! Amazing this deep dish pizza was 10 stars and our waitress Suzanna was just Awesome very attentive, very nice, very sweet! I’ve never been to Chicago but felt as if I was there at «The Taste of Chicago»! The pizza we ordered was a medium for my husband and I. We ended up taking 3 large slices home. We will most definitely be back! It’s our new favorite place! Btw this is what we chose for our Anniversary lunch but now I don’t think we will be eating until breakfast lol!!! So stuffed!

Had my friend in town and she was wanting pizza not being from Dallas I turned to Unilocal for well you know Unilocal.Saw this place read the great reviews so we went on our quest to this little gem! Our waitress was Cindy who was awesome! Very talkative very passionate about the business and its name and not hard on the eyes either but that’s beside the point We ordered a medium deep dish with intentions of having left overs and boy did we. It did take 45 minutes to cook so next time I’ll take Cindy’s advice and call in advance. I had 1 slice and I was almost stuffed! Had a second slice and Cindy almost had to wheel barrow me out of there! Holy cow this pizza is great and you guessed it very filling! I’m not a small guy mind you! The pizza won this battle but I’ll definitely be back with a better game plan! Please try this place and if you love it leave them a good review because gems like these are hard to find if it wasn’t for Unilocal! One more thing if the owners catch this Cindy deserves a big raise and no she did not ask me to write this! Update: brought my employees here for a celebration. They were happy to reserve us a big table and we got Cindy again as our waitress! Pretty sure everyone of my guys now loves this place too.

Truly the best Chicago deep dish outside of the windy city, truly homemade crust and sauce, and the flavor rivals that of the ORIGINAL genos east in Chicago. Also as a native of Southern Illinois I had to try the toasted ravolis, and it is just as good as Imo’s pizza in St Louis, the ones who INVENTED toasted ravs! Also the service here is fantastic, our waitress Suzana was friendly, and made sure that we were topped off with refills often. I live in Ft Worth but it is by far worth the drive to Addison for the best pizza in town bar none! One taste and I felt like I was home!!!

Let me start by saying to be able to pull off the true«Chicago style deep dish» is a amazing accomplishment. Since moving to Dallas the idea of finding a really good pizza place Taste of Chicago wins hands down, not only for their delicious deep dish, but doubly so for their great staff. On our first visit, Cindy was absolutely great. I ordered a small deep dish(Italian sausage, spinach, and mushrooms). My friend ordered a small thin crust pizza, pepperoni and garlic. While we waited on the deep dish, we ordered a bottle of wine which was really affordable compared to other restaurants that I went to previously. The crust was a little over cooked and hard, but everything else was perfect. I did find out that their is a option for pick up or delivery if you live within the Addison area. This is a little out of my way from where I live, however knowing that if I ever want to get a slice of deep dish that taste like home. I know this is the place for me to go!

I truly am a fan of pizza and have had the best pizza the US has to offer. This pizza does not rank amongst the best, however is a great alternative when the best is over 900 miles away(the distance between Dallas, TX and Chicago, IL).

There are very few places that pull off the true«Chicago style deep dish» as well this place. We’ve tried the recently opened Gino’s East, but Taste of Chicago wins hands down, not only for their delicious deep dish, but doubly so for their great staff. On our first visit, Cindy was absolutely great. She patiently explained the deep dish process, and guided us along the way. If you’re making plans to visit, be sure to call in your order. They’ll have your deep dish ready for when you get there. It’s definitely the best Chicago style deep dish, outside of Chicago!

Open on Christmas Eve to feed the hungry masses(6 of us). Warmly greeted right when we walked in the door by Suzana, the owner’s sister. This place is family owned and true to their name cook traditional Chicago deep dish pizza, as well as thin crust, our family was pressed for time so we went with their thin crust option — incredible. Suzana took care of us from start to find I so we could make it to Addison to see Christmas lights. Great wine selection, super fresh veggies on the pizza, tons of pepperoni of superior quality, great thin crust, you can tell the dough is made fresh for each pie. Restaurant is extremely clean, tucked away in back corner of the shopping center, what a hidden gem! Will definitely be back to see Suzana to try out their deep dish when we’ve got the time to savor it!

I’m a huge Chicago Style Deep Dish pizza lover. Having eaten it in Chicago and all over the country. With that said this place serves a very good pie and I highly recommend them. By the way in Chicago you’ll get a buttery thick cornmeal crust, lots of garlic, chunky tomatoes. Just like at this place. Good stuff…

Oh my pizza! I’ve never been to Chicago and had a deep dish, but I’ve always heard the wonderful things of it. The place itself resembles a small little pizza shop, nothing to exciting. The staff were nice, and attentive. Be prepared to wait if you order a deep dish as they are made to order, and can take near 40 – 45 minutes to make. We had a pepperoni deepdish, and then had a thing crust Alfredo pizza. The deep dish pizza is HUGE, one slice of that could’ve been enough for me, but i had to try everything else. We also ordered a sampler appetizer which came with fried mozzarella, fried raviolis, fried mushrooms and chicken wings. The mushrooms and raviolis were my favorite, and the others were alright. Now for the deepdish, it represented basically a lasagna atop a pizza, oh so good! The thin crust Alfredo was just as good. When I’m craving another huge pizza, I’ll come back here and have a slice.

My stomach has been home sick since I moved to Texas a year ago. So, when I came across this restaurant I was anxious to try it. A friend and myself dined in starting out with a sampler plate.(4 chicken wings, 4 mozzarella sticks, fried mushrooms and fried ravioli’s) Everything on the sampler was delicious except the ravioli’s were fried to hard. Then we tried Italian beef sandwiches w/hot peppers, double dipped with French fries.(the fries were undercooked) All in all our experience was pleasant. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Great visit! Having lived in the Chicago area I always enjoy going back to visit, especially when I can grab some good deep-dish pizza. Looking for something besides BBQ or steak on a business trip to Addison, I came across ToC on Unilocal and thought I would give it a try since it had so many good reviews. I was not disappointed! The deep dish pizza was first-rate! Great crust and delicious filling, we went with the meat-lovers, it was quite a meal. Seriously, it rivals many of the big name Chicago pies and beats most of the rest I have had up there. And it was hands-down, the best pizza I have had in the DFW metroplex. For those that aren’t familiar with Chicago deep-dish pizza, know that it can take up to 45 minutes from when you order it, to get your pie. Our server, Cindy, made sure to let us know that the deep-dish pie would take a while. I am guessing that they sometimes run into patrons who think this is some chain, frozen dough, tomato soup sauce pizza ready to go in 10 minutes and those folks get upset at the wait. Good food isn’t fast and fast food isn’t good. And at ToC, it’s well worth the wait. Or you can just order ahead. :) Speaking of Cindy, the service was wonderful. Cindy was friendly and helpful and took great care of us. We will definitely be back!

After reading the reviews on this Unilocal page about this place, I had to try it. First, it’s cheaper than the Gino’s East that is set to open in Dallas later this year; reasonably priced. In my opinion, I don’t consider Chicago Deep Dish pizza as pizza. It is a really good Italian dish, but, I wouldn’t call it pizza, just«deep dish.» However, this is probably the cheapest and closest to Chicago that you will get here in Dallas, unless you would love to take an 18 hour drive up to Chicago of course. The place is a typical walk up counter place. I highly recommend that you call at least 45 minutes ahead of time to make your order, and then come into the restaurant to sit down and eat or you will fare waiting the same amount of time in the store for the pizza. As for the taste of the pizza, I went with a pepperoni and green pepper deep dish. At times the cheese was a little bit overpowering in comparison to the meat and the veggie I had selected. However, it definitely did satisfy my need for deep dish since I was running a half marathon the next day. Overall, I would like to give this place another chance. It’s «okay,» but I feel the place could really deliver a higher quality and more genuine deep dish. We will see in the future.

Came with a large group of about 18 at a 815pm and they were still very accommodating even though they close at 9. We came here after we couldn’t get seated at Thai star and they fit us all by sitting outside. I haven’t experienced that many deep dish pizzas but this was the best I’ve had so far. We ordered 5 deep dish pizzas and everyone raved about their pizzas and they were all done in a reasonable amount of time(the menu says 40 – 45 min wait time). The large deep dish pizzas can easily feed 4 – 5 guys and it is very reasonably priced(23 for a 2 topping large). The crust was nice and crispy and was even stuffed with cheese! Toppings are on point and Chicago deep dish is pretty saucy. I would definitely recommend ordering ahead of time if you want to skip the wait!

Nothing convinces me that I’m in Chicago more than pictures of Chicago landmarks on the wall. I didn’t come here for the feels, though. I came to conquer a pizza. The problem is I can’t properly judge their deep dish, seeing as I was famished 3 hours before even walking in and wasn’t patient enough to wait the allotted 30 – 45 minutes it takes for a deep dish pizza to cook. The«thin» crust pizza we got instead definitely hit the spot, nothing too special, though. The crust was very reminiscent of a Lunchables pizza. Even though we opted out of the deep, we still got copious amounts of cheese, which was fine by me. They accidentally made a pizza larger than we ordered(but didn’t charge us extra), so I was absolutely stuffed when dessert time rolled around. I still had to get that cannoli to go, though, and I was NOT disappointed. It was richer and sweeter than it «should» have been, but I loved it. The service was definitely great, the pizza nothing special but not bad, the dessert great, and the price was amazing(more than fed two of us for barely $ 10). If I plan around my tummy better next time, I’d love to come back and try the deep.

We has no intentions of going out to dinner last night, but the salsa festival down the street from here was so crowded that they turned us away. The only thing that cures sadness for this couple? Pizza. I Unilocaled that one delicious word and this was the closest place and had a high rating so we decided to check it out. When we parked, I noticed the tiny store front was packed. In fact, there was only one table left and we were acknowledged and seated in that table right away. We decided we wanted an appetizer, but couldn’t decide on one, so we got the sampler — fried mushrooms, fried ravioli, mozzarella sticks, and wings($ 9.95) It was SO much food. We could have just eaten that. The ravioli were little ricotta pockets of heaven. We then ordered pizza, and each got a small speciality thin crust($ 10). This is because it says it feeds 1 singular person. Heads up, this is not true if you get an appetizer. Both of us took half our pizza home. I got the Hawaiian, and the dough /crust was perfect. Not too chewy but not too crunchy. The pineapples were significantly hotter than the other ingredients and I kept burning myself trying to eat. The only problem with this pizza is the pieces of ham were too big. When I but into one, giant slices of ham slid out and it made it feel as though it was just lunch meat hiding under all that cheesy goodness. We live far away from this place, but I would definitely stop by again if we were in the area. I really want to try their cannoli(they were out last night) and a deep dish pizza.

My brother-in-law brought me and my husband here. We’re from Southern California and there aren’t really any Chicago deep dish places in our area. We ordered a large Supreme deep dish pizza. It comes with pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, Canadian bacon, onions, tomatoes, green peppers, green olives, black olives, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Since I don’t care for olives, we asked to leave them out. Just keep in mind that it takes approximately 45 – 50 minutes to cook! So it’s probably best if you call ahead to order. We weren’t in any hurry since we were on vacation. If you order a large deep dish pizza, you get a small cheese pizza for free! My brother-in-law asked if he could add pepperoni on it and they did so we had that as an appetizer. When the pizza came out, it was quite impressive. I only ate about 1 ½ slices before I was full. My husband and brother-in-law managed to eat the entire thing between the them! The crust is almost like an actual pie crust(not really like bread or fluffy, but thicker & more flaky.) I did enjoy the sauce, but it could have used a bit more seasoning. The bill was barely $ 30 for that meal. After that, it’s pretty much nap time, but we managed to make it to the Dallas Arboretum afterwards to walk it off! LOL 75⁄100 Reviews for 2015
