My review is for Dr. Maureen McGeehan. I don’t normally suffer from allergies but all of a sudden, I started breaking out in severe hives on just my legs and only my legs. It got so bad, it started leaving scars. The boyfriend got concerned so he took immediate action and found Dr. McGeehan with great reviews through HealthGrades, com. I called on a Monday and was able to get in that following Wednesday. Her office was close and was easy to find. When I walked in, there was no one in the waiting room except for me. Everyone from the receptionist who checked me in to the nurse who checked my vitals were all extremely sweet. The waiting time was minimal which was quite the surprise. Dr. McGeehan personally came to the waiting room to greet me and walked me back to her room where she had a patient’s bed as well as her desk. She sat me down in front of her desk and we thoroughly went over my reason for the visit. She went over EVERYTHING to me. She described why she diagnosed me a certain way and how she came to that conclusion. She also explained exactly what I had and wrote down what I had and the steps I needed to treat my hives. I’ve never in my entire life, received so much attention from a doctor. I felt as if she truly cared and made sure I understood. After my visit, I followed her instructions and my hives have already reduced significantly. Thank goodness! If you are suffering from any kind of allergy, I really really do recommend her.

I called and made an appointment with Dr. Paritosh Dutta for allergy treatment and requested the receptionist, Lee, to send me the new patient forms to complete beforehand. She never did. On the day of my appointment, I questioned her about this and she said she didn’t have time. I sat in Dr. Dutta’s waiting room for one hour, never saw another patient in the waiting room the whole time I was there so didn’t understand why I was waiting so long. Finally I had enough and asked for my patient information forms back as I was leaving. Lee refused to return them! I told her I was not a patient as I had not seen Dr. Dutta and they contained personal information. She refused. Later I called Dr. Dutta and spoke with him about this. He started yelling at me in a profanity-laced tirade in his heavy middle-eastern accent. I could not believe a doctor would use the type of language that he did. He would not let me talk and the more he talked the more agitated he became and louder he yelled. I ended up hanging up on him. Would not recommend this nut to anyone. I found Google reviews on him where other patients experienced the same type of treatment.

Dr Dutta was awful to me during my visit! He seemed very nice at first. But, when I asked him for the justification for a test he ordered(it seemed completely unnecessary), he started shouting and ranting at me. When I asked him to take a more measured/professional tone, he asked me to get out of the office. In addition, he kept following about twenty feet behind me all the way into the car and the parking lot while still shouting at me. I just got the impression that the staff and people from the neighboring suites are used to this. I assumed that because of kicking me out without providing the services I went in for, I wouldn’t have to pay him for nothing. But, about a month later, I got a bill from him for a few hundred dollars. When I called to inquire what I am paying for, I got a «because I can» answer.

I have been treated for seasonal allergies by various doctors for the last 35 years or so, and have seen an awful lot of allergy doctors, but this office has been more effective than all the rest put together. Dr. Paritosh Dutta and Dr. Maureen McGeehan are two of the kindest, most caring, and most courteous allergy doctors I have ever met. Their staff of nurses is also among the best I’ve ever encountered — they really do make you feel like you’re in good hands, and they always exhibit the utmost care and concern. Their administrative staff are efficient and friendly. Allergies are miserable for us sufferers, but competent help is available, and this office, conveniently located along the southbound side of the Dallas North Tollway, is a wonderful place to visit to get some relief.
