Got Mimi’s mess this time it tastes just as good as I remember ! This restaurant is definitely a new tug hill tradition — can’t come up here and not stop, even if it’s to go ! I’m updating this review because it changed owners. We didn’t go in so I didn’t get to look at the menu. They said it’s the same menu as before but they are adding stuff. Also the name change to Louise’s Coobuse or something like that.

First and foremost I want to say that this café is in an old train depot that sits right on train tracks, there is a sweet patio and you can watch trains roll by while eating breakfast/lunch which is super cool. Second of all, this is one of those rare places that don’t cook all of their food on the same grill — their home fries are great and don’t taste like miscellaneous grill. You can customize omlets, one, two or three egg with choices of fillings that they are ultra generous with. Coffee is surprisingly good too and our waitress was a peach.

The décor is what sells this place. The food was ok, not outstanding. It was the ultimate in customization as there were few meal plates on the menu. Staff was not friendly or attentive during our visit. We will likely be back, but still looking for our first choice diner.

Nice neighborhood place located in an old train station. Great to see the trains rumble past. I stopped for a late lunch and had a perfect 3 egg omelet done just right.

Went here with a friend for breakfast. The décor is really cool and the place looks nice inside. The servers were attentive and helpful, however, the food was atrocious. I got the sausage breakfast burrito with homefries. The burrito was 90% sausage which just isn’t right in a burrito and the homefries looked and tasted like they were straight from a frozen bag bought at Topps down the street. My friend got scrambled eggs with cheese and homefries. Again the homefries were junk and all they did was throw a piece of processed american cheese on top of the scrambled eggs. Tasted pretty bad.

What a great little gem of a place! Such a great menu it was hard to decide. I had a breakfast burrito with a side of home fries. My fiancé had a a turkey club with sweet potato fries, others in our party had pancakes, eggs and French toast served with real maple syrup. I love the free coffee refills and the fact that they had French vanilla and plain creamer for the coffee. Our server was friendly, attentive and the service was quick. The food was delicious and fresh! Our waitress even brought out freezer pops for my boys but made sure to ask if it was ok with me first! My boys loved the train that goes around a track in the dining area. It’s the little things, but we will be sure to come back here again! Loved it!

Great visit to a wonderful little reataurant near fort drum. The sasuage patties are top notch. Also, we were lucky enough to have a train pass by during breakfast. The granddaughters love this place. I will be back on my next trip to fort drum.

Very charming place with a warm service and very nice dishes for lunch. A perfect breakfast or lunch stop for travelers from NY to Canada or vice versa.

Great find. Thanks Unilocal.Awesome breakfast on a cold winter morning. Cute restaurant with very friendly service. Be sure to request the train for the little ones. The restaurant is an old train station and the building alone is worth the stop.
