Acworth Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center

I have not been to a dermatologist in quite a while and my last experience was not a great one. Physicians are generally not known to be the most personable lot, but Dr. Chappell at Acworth Dermatology is really great. He is very knowledgeable and down to earth. His office provides an efficient scheduling process available online, over the phone, or even through email. His receptionist, Dodi, is amazing and very experienced with dealing with insurance companies. Natalia, his nurse, is very sweet and attentive. I thought about subtracting a star, because I kind of felt a little rushed even though there wasn’t anyone else in the waiting area, but then again, doctors are also not known to sit and shoot the breeze with their patients and I’m sure he has more to do than just see patients. I did not even have time to sit down after filling out paperwork before being called back to a room. I think I was one of the first patients being seen that day, though, so YMMV. I did have an issue with one of the prescriptions not getting transmitted to my pharmacy, but that may have been on the pharmacy’s end and not ADS. Another prescription was super expensive and Dr. Chappell’s office dealt with it quickly and efficiently. I can tell that Dr. Chappell and his team really care about their patients, which means a lot to me. It turned out that my pharmacy had out of date insurance information and that was why the cost was so high, but Dr. Chappell was great about calling in a more cost effective alternative. This is a pretty new medical practice in the Acworth area, but I am very glad to be one of their patients. I will continue to see Dr. Chappell and his team as long as their level of service remains the same.
