My husband and in-laws have been coming to Blum Ranch for over 40 years. Ray, the owner, is a dear sweet man now in his 80’s, but still working hard as ever. The drought has taken a toll on his yield this year, and a few years back they almost lost the ranch due to a fire. We have our lug of peaches, and I will be making cobbler and jam very soon. O’Henry peaches will be available in a couple of weeks, and we will be heading back to purchase those beauties. Elizabeth and Ray Billet and their family are hard working and loving people who have dedicated their lives to the preservation of this 100+ year farm.

I never really ate peaches until my husband started getting our peaches at Blum Ranch. He MADE me taste one. That was the beginning of the end for me. We can’t buy peaches at regular markets anymore, because they just don’t come close to the wonderful sweet Blum Ranch peaches. With all varieties of the peaches being«freestone», they’re easy to cut, slice and EAT! Everyone out at Blum Ranch is so warm and friendly. It is really hard to go most of the year without our Blum Ranch peaches. We can hardly wait until we get that postcard in the mail during the summer telling us that their peaches are ready to eat!!! Thanks, Blum Ranch, for those yummmmmmmy peaches!!! Read their history, it’s so cool: And when you’re out there, take a look at the original homestead house!

Peaches. The LA Times sent me here. I love peaches. Different times of year different peaches are available. We bought two lugs, each one weighing over 20 pounds. One lug was$ 8.00, the other was$ 10. Peaches were smaller than a tennis ball, about the size of a handball. I wish it weren’t such a long drive for me, if the drive were shorter, I’d be here every week. These peaches freeze well, I’ve been having them in my oatmeal…

My mom and dad have been going here for years and always bringing home amazing fruit. I went this weekend with them and loved it! Familly run place & everyone is so friendly and helpful. It is worth the drive! We bought peaches, pears, prunes, corn, mellon and zucchini — everything was awesome! My 3 yr old niece had the best time(even though you can’t pick the fruit)

Yeah, so we were out in the area working. But there’s nothing for miles and miles except this ranch. They basically sell fresh fruit that they grew themselves. It’s a family owned business and I got to meet the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Billet. And they were super friendly and nice. They’ve owned the land for more than a hundred years. All of the people that worked there were pleasant. We ended up buying a box of peaches. It’s priced by sizes — the larger the peaches, the less you get and the more expensive it is. We got the box with about 70 peaches and it cost a little more than 6 bucks. What a deal, right? I spit it with two other people because otherwise I would not know what to do with so many peaches. Even my share was hard to finish. The peaches were nicely sized and so fresh and contained just the right amount of sweetness. Peaches are also sold by the pound. And they have different varieties of peaches during the year. You can even be put on a mailing list so they’ll let you know what’s in season. The ranch also has squash, cantaloupes, and a variety of different fruits and veggies. We also picked up some honey and peach jam. While we were there, lots of customers dropped by. I remember one car where they just packed their trunk with boxes and boxes of peaches. It’s way up in north LA county but I wish I loved closer. I would be here a lot.
