Acme Diner

Great food and awesome service! I highly recommend the eggs benedict, (eggs benny connoisseur here) which is only served on the weekends! The eggs are never overcooked and large, the ham is thin sliced and the hollandaise is perfect consistency. Burgers, sandwiches, turkey dinner-​All exceptional as well! Worth a trip out to Acme!

Honestly expected this to be a «ehhh, it’s the only thing for miles, let’s just grab a quick bite and save our appetite for later» kind of spot. It wasn’t. It turned out to be one pretty awesome little diner.
Great, friendly service. Generous portions. Fair prices. Above-​average foods. There was nothing epically unique or special about it. It just felt like a diner done right. Rather doubt I’ll be passing through Acme ever again. But this would be a mandatory breakfast stop if I did.

Stopped by on the way through Acme and this diner is good enough to come to Acme just for it! Great food, and a lot of it for a good price! Lovely atmosphere, very clean, with interesting posters and photos covering the walls. The waitress was fantastic AND she made all the food, including fresh squeezed orange juice for all of us (that’s hard work!).

Wow, was I impressed by the Acme Diner. I’d driven by before but never made it a destination (it’s not close or convenient from where I live).
This is a diner. But nicer. It’s got a great logo and signage, it’s fresh and new. Inside, the layout is a bit odd but that’s really not a problem. The diner wasn’t busy the Sunday afternoon we stopped by, we had our choice of seating. We sat in a comfy booth just off the soda-​fountain type bar. There’s also an typical bar, kind of a surprise to me.
The menu had all the usual choices, burgers, fries, shakes. I was in the mood for a salad, so I chose the Caesar. My dining companions opted for a burgers.
The Caesar arrived and was surprising, it was pretty big and was covered with sliced Parmesan, there was a ton of it! There was flavorful Caesar dressing, too.
My dining companions ordered a shake made with amazing Acme Ice Cream. It was pricey but the ice cream was amazing, rich and thick, not your ordinary ice cream shake. Their burgers were very good as well, not your ordinary diner burger. This one seemed home made, it was that good.
The entire restaurant was very nice, the seating was comfortable and appeared new or very well-​maintained. The bathroom was very big and quite nice. This is saying something for a diner (or a restaurant for that matter), most restrooms are lackluster, at best. Not this one, I was super impressed.
The staff was kind but seemed pretty busy. It was an odd time of day, mid afternoon on a weekend, they seemed to be between shifts or something. Luckily it didn’t impact our visit too much. We will happily return again soon.

one ordered scrambled egg, hash brown, and wheat toast off kid menu + plus a waffle (they doubled up on the egg because the kid plate comes with meat option)

I got the ½ order biscuit and gravy with a side of eggs and hash browns. one of the boys ate half my hash browns because there was plenty. the portions were good size without being ridiculously large.
for really basic choices that we picked all the food was cooked well. they use quality bread so the the toast was a hit, plus they actually toasted it, nothing worse than just warmed up bread ;). eggs were good, cooked as ordered. gravy was good with a nice creamy texture and seasoned right with just a bit of sausage link in it, biscuit was really good. coffee good but HOT!
food was served rather quickly, but we lucked out and had come in just before the Sunday crowd. café filled up quickly as we were finishing our food.
would recommend, and would stop again.

Wow this place is a hidden gem. Saturday night is bbq night. You can see the mega smoker on the side of the building along with a packed parking lot. It’s in Acme, on highway nine on the way to Mt. Vernon from Mt. Baker. Staff was lovely. Recommended the brisket for ten bucks, was not let down. That sandwich was gone in less than five minutes. Thanks, Lance! Server girl was super nice and friendly to us, a couple of dirtbag sunburnt climbers on our way home from a weekend of camping. Not a regular but o wish I was! Stay classy y’all we loved the vibes!

Grabbed breakfast here on my way out to a hike at Racehorse Falls and surrounding area… and boy was I glad I did! The food was excellent! Not too crowded for a Saturday morning — came quickly and was cooked to perfection. Service was great too — very attentive waitress who made sure my drink was always topped off and checked on me frequently. Will definitely stop in here again soon!

So, came by here and decided we would stop as the kids were hungry. Great idea!!! The food was extremely good, and the kids even finished what they were given in their meals. Plates were perfect or even slightly large, but definitely went with the slightly higher than normal price point. (About 1.50 more tan o usually pay for this type of food) the kids meals came with homemade ice cream also!!!
The server Heather was awesome.
Wish they would add stevia in the raw to their sugars for the coffee, but still ¹⁰⁄₁₀.

Good sandwiches, a few beers on tap (micro and national), and awesome local ice cream!

Stopped in while on vacation visiting family in my hometown of Bellingham. I tried the Blue Cheese burger and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. My brother had a huge Chicken Fried Steak and he was in heaven. Service was great and we liked the food so much we brought our parents out two days later. I had the Twin Sisters burger this time around and it was just as good as my first. Try the Acme Ice Cream, there is no other quite like it.
Will make the Acme Diner a must every time I’m back home.

Saturday they have BBQ. Had the pulled pork and it was excellent. Good sized sandwich with a mild sauce on the side. The fries were plentiful and cooked well. However they are battered fries and I’m not a fan. The wife had the coleslaw and said it was an outstanding example of a non vinegar based slaw.

Great food and great service. We stopped in for a late breakfast. Mediterranean Omelet was delicious, and they added bacon for no extra charge. Will definitely be back!

I wanted to take my wife out to eat at a place new to us. We ended up at the Acme Diner and were more than satisfied! The restaurant was cute inside, service was nice and the food was wonderful! My wife had a breakfast of biscuits and gravy and I had the Acme Burger. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! We will definitely go back!

I have been to the diner a number of times for breakfast and thier Mediterranean omelet is one of the best I have ever had. Friendly service to boot. Who could ask for more!

When you drive through Wiley Coyote’s rocket sled supply town you just have to stop. Though I didn’t try a full meal they were serving Acme Ice Cream which is what I was looking for. The Ice Cream deserves it’s own write up but that’s another story.
The diner was very clean and everyone was very friendly that much so the expression «been there, bought a T-​shirt» was enacted, picked up a hat too — the ultimate tourist strikes again

Great food, especially the Chicken Fried Steak. Service is usually pretty lacking, however they do keep the place clean you just might have to wait 15 minutes for your coffee!

This place has great burgers with egg on top but lacks customer service

I’ve only been here once, looks like the just finished a remodel and the place is pretty cool. Food and service were excellent for this out of the way diner. I just need to find a reason to get back to Acme so I can try it again.

What a great diner! We found it by accident and found the staff friendly and the food very good. The best part is that they make their own ice cream and had several flavors we could choose from. All yummy! The place is bright and clean, as well. A real winner!
