Ackley City of

My family has lived in this town for generations. I have visited here many times over the 43 years of my life. I remember so many people, places and things it’s hard to list them all. It’s a small town and most of the residents are life long.
It’s a very small town, with about a 3 ½ block main street. The stores don’t change much but have quite a bit to offer the townspeople. There’s a large park, a stage on the side of town hall where they have concerts in the summer.
They also know how to entertain themselves. A few years back they made the national news for some fun.
It’s a picec of small town america still alive and well. I am sad I won’t see it as much as I used too. Maybe one day I will return. It’s a neat little place, as little as it is.
