Moe’s Crabs and Ribs

Tried Moe’s for the first time this past Friday. The customer service was excellent and they accept Visa/​Mastercard now. Now on with the review. The crabs were so delectable. Cooked to order and seasoned to taste with just the right spice/​salt ratio. We opted for the regular females which were 2 dozen for $ 40 and added a pound of jumbo shrimp. Not one bad crab or shrimp. It is so nice to have a local go to spot. Moe’s is my new favorite crab shack. No more trips to St Mary’s County just for crabs.

I stumbled across this little place by accident. I was completely amazed! The crabs were heavy and flavorful. The staff is very polite and accommodating. I think this place is wayyy better than Moe’s in White Plains and I was a loyal patron to them for five years!

Good price for a half bushel for Maryland crabs and the crabs turned out to be a good size and very good.

Totally underwhelmed with this place. Didn’t have the menu selection as advertised. Finally decided to order shrimp based on the reviews and how great people said they were. Needless to say when I sat down to eat the shrimp they were seasoned as if they were for and 80 year old. To add to the experience the shrimp weren’t even prepared properly, some of the heads were still on, after about 10 minutes of eating me and my fiancé just chalked it up as a loss and threw away the remaining 2 lbs of shrimp. Will not be returning to this place, but wish them success in the future.

Delicious. Check out the Facebook page for specials and deals of the day. The crabs are always good & hot and the shrimp is good too. No eating in. Just a little hole in the wall but the best seafood in the area & there prices & taste beat the road trucks we’ve visited in the past.

We stopped by Moe’s Crab’s and Ribs today and I know we have found a treasure These are the most delicious Maryland crabs i’ve ever tasted in my life, we had to wait for them to steam the crabs for about 20 minutes so I ordered some cream of crab soup and a shrimp basket with fries for my son. This soup is so creamy, really a great tasty warm up and full of flavorful crab meat. My son wouldn’t even share any of his shrimp with me, I was lucky to get a few fries. My son loved the shrimp apparently since he was so greedy– lol, and the fries were fresh and tasty with a little bit of seasoning. The girls at the window are super nice and welcoming. They only take cash, so remember that. There’s a store right beside the Crab shack with an ATM plus you can buy beer there. They sell fried fish also but I didn’t get any this trip, next time… To close, I know that I will be back to Moe’s Crab’s and Ribs in Accokeek, MD

This place is a shack — and I mean that in the most complimentary way. There are no tables upon which to eat, unless you use your car’s trunk or your lap.
Place your order at the window, then stay close by because they call out the number on your receipt when your order is ready.
I had the shrimp basket (fried shrimp with french fries) and the cream of crab soup. The soup was delicious: lots of crab, nicely seasoned, and it was hot (which was good, because it was windy and chilly day). I didn’t see the spoon in the bag, until I had sipped about half of the cup.
The shrimp was breaded and nicely fried. The serving of cocktail sauce was generous. The fries were good. My only complaint is that the fries were a bit greasy (about a tablespoon of oil was in the bottom of my container.) Otherwise, it was good.
Other people there ordered the steamed crabs. They (the crabs, that is) looked good too. And I’ll have to go back and try them.

Moe’s was good, but got shorted crabs the last time. Called but they refused to correct.

This was my first time trying this location. The crabs were excellent, not mushy at all. I will definitely return!

First time trying this place… The fried shrimp basket is deelish! Fresh shrimp that’s seasoned and fried to perfection served with fries. Yummy!

I was disappointed to find that there is no eat-​in option. So, while the food looks amazing, I passed. Hope you guys enjoy if you choose to try it.

The hubs and I came to check out Moe’s Crabs and Ribs — this little carry-​out shack offers fried seafood, MD crabs, snow crab legs, crab cakes, porkchop sandwiches, fish nuggets, ribs, etc. We tried their ½ slab of ribs (smoked), that came with a side of BBQ sauce (this was pretty okay, and not fatty at all — the side of the BBQ sauce nice and sweet, and complemented the ribs well), and the MD Blue Crab crab cake sandwich (just came with a hamburger bun and hand-​cut fries; I was not a fan of the crab cake, as it tasted kind of fishy and a little too intense; in addition, the crab cake was way overcooked, making it rubbery and having a very thick exterior, so that was quite disappointing). We also tried the fried corn on the cob, which was pretty okay in taste. The employees were slightly dismissive, but there was a gentleman in there who seemed quite sweet, as he handed us a paper menu. This place is cash only, and it is located behind the Keller’s Market off of Accokeek Rd (fork at Livingston).

Good Spot to hit up during the summer season!!! Love the quality of service and crabs. I didn’t get a mushy crab at all in my order!!!

Went home to visit my parents in MD and of course I had to get some blue crabs.
Moe’s has become my new favorite place in MD to get good crabs at reasonable prices. The crabs are usually meaty regardless if you get small or large crabs. Also, Moe’s has the best seasoning for crabs I’ve ever had! Do yourself a favor if you’re in southern MD and go visit Moe’s for some good crabs!

My aunt referred me to this place so I thought I would give it a try. I purchased a mixture of male and females crabs and they were decent.

Never have I had better Maryland Style Crabs in my life. And the crab cakes are phenomenal! Friendly staff. Amazing food.

I’ve been going here since 2009. They cook to order. Friendly service. I love this little shack. Plus, the gas station next door sells beer! Yay!

Best crabs (until you get to Charles County). And they cook to order. It’s a little on the pricey side considering they have very little overheard, but they’re legit good. They don’t take plastic so bring yo paper.
